This was a crows posterWhen I first joined BF I remember some scandal where a highly respected Port poster faked his own death so he could find out what the board really thought of him.
Got a feeling Cordy might be RTB's new Zac Dawson.
I recon Billings will push him out and then it will be a case of Jack trying to hold him out, could be a case of them rotating in and out of Sandy if Jack can't find his mojo.bynes is a lock imo
Don't care.Because it’s me: we’d better win this week otherwise we have just blown the $500k we would have got playing up in Cairns and which we could have used to: pay down debt, invest in football resources, invest in recruiting etc.
Play two different roll. Byrnes is very quick out of the stoppage. Something Jack can’t do. Byrnes isn’t going anywhere. Jack might have to play some more time in the twos but its good finally having a bit of pressure on spotsI recon Billings will push him out and then it will be a case of Jack trying to hold him out, could be a case of them rotating in and out of Sandy if Jack can't find his mojo.
Personally I'm looking forward to the juicy subplot of how Billings will respond to Lyons coaching.
But Byrnes is still a fringe player at this stage and could easily be pushed out for the right player.
Second year blues?Maybe under Ratts last season, and the way players were playing then, Windy might have fitted the structure, but under Lyon, it's a different structure, and some other players have improved since then, so the best Windy can do is to grab his chances and play well.
Dawson was a very limited shut down defender…Dawson was a much better player though. Cordy looks easily the most replaceable player in the forward line when we have everyone available. Dawson held down FB.
Yeah Byrnes would indeed be very hard to displace given what he’s bringing to the table, and let’s face it, we’re never likely to have to make that call as we’ll likely have injuries to others that will open up a spot for guys like Jones. Not sure Byrnes is going anywhere based on his current output. His endurance and speed is outstanding and he is working damn hard up and down the ground. More importantly his disposal efficiency is improving as he gets more game time & confidence (not to say he still won’t have the occasional bad day!). More upside still to come from this young guy! Gotta keep playing him based on his current learning curve under RTB!
I like what Jones can bring as he is a bit manic, but not a winger (has burst speed but not sure his endurance is great) and certainly not an elite user of the pill.
No second year blues..he worked his ass off preseason.Second year blues?
Who does Jack push out on the half forward line or forward pockets then to win a spot?... I think unless form drops off dramatically from say Butler or Higgo then I think he's the obvious choice to take Byrnes spot.Play two different roll. Byrnes is very quick out of the stoppage. The boss was superb on footy classified..also love the way he plays the media on a break at his pressers!!To be honest I was glad to see the back of him last time
But the last 2 years on Triple M he was a great listen just understands the game better then anyone else, always looked forward to him on a Sunday
As soon as Lenny was coming back I did say it should be RTB to coach, Lenny was never coming back to be an assistant under Ratts
Byrnes is an elite endurance runner, along with Wood, Hill & Windhager..doubt any of them go out of the side apart from injuryWho does Jack push out on the half forward line or forward pockets then to win a spot?... Byrnes has been going ok ish but not sure he is completely trustworthy at this stage.

byrnes
the new sharman
Potato, portatoThis was a crows poster
Billings is also an elite runner, has regularly racked up the most ks per game in the team.Byrnes is an elite endurance runner, along with Wood, Hill & Windhager..doubt any of them go out of the side apart from injury
Given RTB’s emphasis on running I reckon Byrnes is as safe as houses. No one’s come close to his miles all year and only Tom Scully has done more in a game than him in the history (or at least since this stat has been recorded) of the sport.Injury and form will determine who misses..Cordy & Paton are vulnerable, as is Windhager on current status!
Clark and Stocker are locked in..Byrnes no certainty going forward.
not so much in R2 I'm guessing, his MGs in R1 were 580m and in R2 it was 70m so he was luck not to get dropped for R3 but was saved by the injury crisis but has been more consistent since then at least. Being a fringe player he will need to keep bringing his one wood with players coming back from injury especially Billings who would be the obvious competitor for his spot.but but billings reg racks up kms
