Think it’ll be

Out Ruscoe Kelly Pendles (inj)

In Adams Murphy Carmichael

Kruger will get better for the run and Markov is a good runner that needs a good run, crazy to drop him

IQ and Noble lucky we don’t have more that type of player!

Thought Elliott struggled until he went in the middle in the last and looked much better so with the smalls we have, Elliott can be another Mid that gets rotated off the bench to ensure he gets enough breaks given age and banged up.

Good luck to the selectors! For now I'd say:

In: Murphy Adams
Out: Kreuger Pendlebury (inj)

Ruscoe gets another game for sure. Kelly cameo was decent too I thought, maybe hard to squeeze him into the 22? Another week as sub maybe. Markov taking strides too, great to see

I don’t think we can afford to drop Krueger against Adelaide. They have a great set of talls. Nearly as good as Geelong’s.

I think it was a smart move to sub Krueger out today. Leave a bit in the tank for next Sunday.

He has shown his sticky hands before. It’s not hard to understand why he might be rusty given his injury proneness and lack of games Kap.

I agree with you on that though, we just need to keep him on the park. Potential is there

When has he shown sticky hands?? Nearly all his marks are chest marks, and he doesn’t take many marks.

How on Earth are we going to fit the following players in over coming weeks:
Adams
Murphy
Cox
Cameron
Lipinski
McStay
Howe
Allan

A great problem to have!

Much like 2010 when Lockyer, O’Bree, Medhurst and Co couldn’t get a game.

WHE Kreuger Markov And Ruscoe will be dropped. The rest will replace other injuries we get in the next month.

See? If you were running our selection there'd be seven changes every week and we'd be sending out the cockroaches from under the AIA vitality centre because every second player isn't good enough. Come on Kap mate. Back some of our youngsters in

Ruscoe, WHE and Kreuger play next week

I don't think he was subbed off to save him for next week, it was more about trying to win today's game as he wasn't playing very well

We can’t drop Krueger next week against Adelaide’s great set of talls. What if Frampton, Moore, AJ or Checkers goes down injured in Q1? We’d be completely screwed.

I reckon Krueger stays in until Cox or Cameron is ready to return.

Noble lucky!? Come on, you’re joking.

Yeah, he might need a week off.

Maynard got a 2 week suspension for same thing

We need fresh legs off a 4 day break

Sore bodies will be rested. 4 changes minimum

With the short break and flu in the club this is a big danger game. The VFL have a bye so I think a big squad will be taken. Wouldn’t be surprised if Finn plays and honestly it’s a tough selection for this week. I’ll pass on trying to guess this week as it too hard.

I don’t think Howe is a given to ever play again. I watched him on AFL 360. He is seeing a hand therapist and has impaired sensory function. That’s car-crash kind of stuff. He will also lose upper body strength and muscle mass. He will get rag dolled. When he is allowed to lift weights, he will need to go on the weights again, rebuild his strength and get back his touch. That will take (at least) 2 months. We will be lucky to see him again this year (if at all).

Do people seriously think Noble and IQ are in danger of being dropped…? Noble especially has been an absolute rock for us since he got dropped early last year. His pressure and effort are consistently through the roof. He’s also one of, if not our best, creator off half back. If you reckon McRae isn’t telling him to take on the game like he did when get got pinged by Perkins, you’ve got no idea. McRae would’ve patted him on the butt and just told him to go again after that, that clearly want him to take the game on and drive aggressively from HB.
IQ is a bit more complex, he’s a more naturally skilled played that’s down on confidence and touch. They’ll back him in no doubt though.

Fly managed Pendlebury with only 58% ToG (whack to the face was last 10 mins)

So if he pulls up okay from that poke to the eye/face whack hopefully he would be good to go.

Personally though, as important as he is I would want to rest him. Marathon not a sprint ala Selwood 2022

In: Adams
Out: Pendlebury

Would consider swapping Kelly and Kreuger as the sub. Kelly impressed me on the wing, give him more game time and Kreuger can be impactful coming on late. He changed the game when he came on in the Prelim against the Swans.

Murphy I would rest one more week with his history.

Agreed.
Especially so with Q.
Pigs will fly before he gets dropped.

IQ had a really good last quarter.

Elliot’s form has to be a concern, no way he gets dropped but he’d want to find his mojo over the next month for everyone’s sake, his goal kicking has gone to complete sht, we’re so much better when he’s on, maybe more midfield minutes?

WHE, 10 disposals today and one tackle, I suspect he makes way for Adams.

Ins Adams, Murphy

Outs WHE, Kelly, Krueger, WHE sub, WHE could pinch hit as a tall if needed and with his running capacity could replace a mid if the needed.

Seriously posters thinking we will drop Elliot? Did he get a concussion I didn't notice. Sometimes this thread seems to be about the vindictive attitude of posters rather than speculation on what will likely happen. Elliot isn't going to be dropped.
He got banged around pretty good against the Saints, with his injury history and a short turnaround it wouldn’t be the worst idea to give him a rest.
