Full credit to the Tiges - they totally outplayed us, but this will probably be the highpoint of their season, despite the commentators making sure we are aware that this is their 'season resurrection' or they are 'sleeping giants' or whatever.

In the end, quite a tease as that last quarter was as bad as the first. We really can get exposed by these quicker teams like Richmond and Essendon as soon as our pressure and intensity drops a little, as it did today (with the excepton of the third quarter).

Very disappointing because I was convinced up until now that this team had really improved and was overall more skillful. At least last week, although we lost, I thought the level of the game was very high and it was a good performance. Today however, it looked a lot like the Swans of the past two years. Good in patches, but inconsistent and no avenues to goal. Terrible loss and back to the drawing board.

Jesse White, tonight should be your last chance. Despite Reidfactor going on and on and on (boringly) about how good you are or going to be, you are a dismal failure. We can well dump on Reid for his game, but White has had 4 more years of development put into him, and 4 more years experience, but still he plays like a kid in the under 11's.

just a woeful performance. Somehow got back into the game at 3/4 time and then just ****ed it badly.

How many blatant push in the backs did Jack Reiwoldt get away with against poor old Ted? The umpiring didn't really influence the result - because we played so shit - but fcuk me it was one-eyed (inexpicable non-mark to Delidio aside, but that was payed back in full with the mark payed to Reiwoldt in the 4th).

dont leave everitt out of this discussion. Some of his efforts tonight were just deplorable. He was Richmond's best player.

At what stage do you just laugh at how bad you played. Is it this? Will ask Melbourne.

If we want to be a top 4 team, we gotta be better than this (stating the obvious). White did nothing, time to bring in Morton and Walsh (anyone know how they're going in ressies?). Leave Everitt in the side, purely on the basis that he can provide a 2nd tall in our forward. TDL showed enough to stay in the team.

I hate to say this but time to drop ROK, too slow and got beaten many times by his opponent. Many bad players tonight but can't name them all.:mad:

Not to mention that in the 3rd quarter he was given about a minute to get rid of the ball with being pinged for holding the ball. I've never seen a tackle go that long before without someone getting pinged. They should also bring the video review in for his mark in the last quarter that he didn't control. There is time to do it while they line up for the shot. I hate seeing shit like that result in goals.

In the end the last quarter was not much better than the first, and the 14-point margin at three-quarter time flattered us. The Swans just looked soft. Take nothing away from the Tigers, but given that the whole team was down across the board, I'm not sure where you go from here. I think Morton should play next week at the very least. Injuries to Hanners and Parker are a worry.

It's strange, but that was the least into a Swans game I have been for quite some time, we just never looked likely.

whilst white had a shithouse game, there were worse players out there..

only thought there 3 players who deserve a mention,

aj played a great game
kennedy tried hard
jetta was good, but turned it over alot.

reid 5 stats, and his track work was good apparently.. keep playing him, it cant get any worse surely.

tdl showed a bit, good to see...

You lack of respect is astounding, a decent bloke could've worded that better. but as long as you feel tough cyber bullying me.. loser

So much ironing to be done.

Everitt out, Morton in. I'd even consider Pyke ahead of Seabs.

Id love Moore back in, if he wasn't so slow. Mcveigh (who was ordinary tonight) and TDL are about the only players that actually look to hit a target with a kick. A guy like Hanners does all the hard work, but when it comes time to kick, you know he's just going to bomb it long.

That's our problem at the MCG. When we have the ball, we waste it on speculative kicks. The amount of space means, if you're willing to run, you can find a free man.

It's time to delist White, he has had plenty of time to improve, but is still useless, there is pretty much no hope that he will ever be a good player. Reid need a spell in the reserves. I think TDL did enough to keep his spot. He made some great decisions and some great kicks into the 50. Probably still needs to work on his forward pressure a bit, but overall, I think he deserves a spot. Would also love to see Pyke given another opportunity. I though he was starting to look good rotating into the forward line.

You got a very soft 50 against jackson that put you back in the game at a crucial time, so I woudln't complain.

Some thoughts on the game:

- Reid needs a spell in the twos..bring Morton or Walsh in
- Seaby has been poor, perhaps give Pyke a run?
- White....how many chances does he need?
- TDL was decent after coming on, give him a full game against Melbourne
- Why was Newman not manned up at all?
- McVeigh was rubbish
- ROK looks like a snail out there..surely his time playing AFL is limited
- Johnson was good
- Umpiring was ordinary, but it didn't really cost us the match
- Kennedy was ordinary, but was still one of our best

soft but technically there.

There was one really bad one that Jack got away with in the first term but the others were borderline and he got it through strength. No point sooking that.

Nick Smith so far hasn't got a mention, in the scrimmages around the half back today he was good and strong and contested the ball well.

Mattner is just not contributing his running game at the moment and was missing through the first half.

If Reids not fit he needs a break now. If he is fit than his form is a serious concern.

I think he needs to be added to the Watch List....

Time to face reality for a few players and supporters. Who will be in our next premiership team? Seaby no. Everitt no. White no. Shaw? Mattner? How bad are we at picking our subs? From Seaby in the first game last year, we have learnt nothing. Our choices in the last 2 games have been staggering. Everitt v Ade. and TDL tonight. TDL is the only natural forward we have and with the great man out, we start him as the sub?? And what we have done to Sam Reid has been deplorable. He's a kid and been hurt for 4 weeks and we keep running him into the ground. And now all of a sudden, the Jet is our most important player.

Smooch was greta today for us, along with AJ and then Teddy after 1/4 time. All backmen which tells the story of the day.
