If Cam Guthrie gets another score in the 90s I might consider trading Scrimshaw to him next week. Would prefer to offload Drew though.
I was sold on getting him this week until I seen that he had 40 points in the last quarter when stats got padded extremely well.

Thinking so far Blakey to Larkey (if named again) and Clark to C.Guthrie. Gets Blakey off my team and can start generating some cash again. Leaves my backline in a decent position with adequate coverage (for now) but my forward line is a shambles. Might fix that next week.

Am re-thinking this (probably not for the first time :p)... Depending on who's named/not named, thinking I might still get rid of Blakey for Larkey (going to Larkey seems like a common cash gen attempt move) and it gets Blakey off my team finally. If B.Scott doesn't play, thinking I might trade him 'down' to Ainswerth. Frees up a bit of cash (will have about $240k for next week) and will hopefully generate a bit more cash with Larkey and Ainswerth having good BE's. I think Drew will be my target to offload next week which should enable me to get in someone to fix my forward line and get another rook off the field.

This is why I’m so pissed at Libba, I have these two to upgrade and he’s forgotten how to football. If I don’t fix him, he’ll be worth 20k and I won’t be able to get rid of him...

Wouldn't worry too much about Libba, BE of 103 but he's still capable of tonning up. As long as Crazy Bevo doesn't **** him around too much. He's also still sub 600k so can't really lose too much value.

Going to have to wait on teams but pretty tempting to go Rozee out, Drew out, Siciliy and Heeney in. Means im left with Parker and Lockhart on the bench though so may reverse. Really not sure what strategy to take this week.

Got 400k stashed away? Might as well spend it.

As for Libba he was always a stepping stone in my eyes and nows the time to jump. Bulldogs are in horrible form atm and god knows what Bevo will do with positional changes to get the dogs out of their form slump.

He could try playing people in the correct spot, but that appears unlikely

isnt bevo part of the problem - messing with a winning formula ?
Im giving the dogs (macrea + libba) one more week. if they cant score against rich Thats it !

Yeah playing your best contested mid in his rightful position, just seems a bit crazy doesn't it? Libba was their 'spark' at the start of the year. Since they moved him out of there, it's all gone downhill. He's got one more week for mine, as I have to get rid of Dahl first, but he (and Bevo) are on very thin ice

Whats the story with Dunkley? Purely on potential Im interested in him (a bit like Dusty) but he just seems out of form or role or something. Are they throwing him around too or is he just not the same player with Libba in the middle?

Actually according to Fantasy Freako he's been at the CBs, he's just out of form I guess.

Bevo clearly values flexibility - which is fine, but when we aren’t winning - sometimes you have to go back to you strengths.

Libba coming back has impacted on Dunkley, but so too has playing Wallis, Gowers and others there. Our best form last year was with Dunkley in the middle, Wallis forward - but we seem to have reversed this.

There is a lot wrong structurally with our side at the minute....

hrm - trying to get my head around trading Whitfield and Libba this week:
My trade targets would be Zak jones + Tim kelly

LibField together averages 200 pw -> 17 weeks = 3400 points
together Jelly averages 190 pw -> 17 weeks = 3230 points + 100k cash + 2 trades

if Whitfield misses a week then the points difference is minimal and i pocket 100k, plus helps my teams bye structure

Libfield will lose 60k cash this week, 30k next week
Jelly will gain 50k over 2 weeks
Thats a 140k difference ~ call it 100k (i like round numbers)

I dont think its worth it

----
or
double downgrade & pocket 200k cash
-get potential score of liba + rookie (if whits misses a week) ~ around 120
-get potential score of crap liba + injured whits 1 circa 140

I don’t understand this. Back when we only had 20 trades there was a big difference between playing for overall or league, because you could potentially run out of trades by round 10, and many people in cash leagues held trades for finals which restricted their overall rank. But now with 2 trades per week which can’t be saved there’s basically no difference between playing for overall or playing for league IMO.

Of course there is. Especially with bye-rounds. Many cash leagues (mine) don't play byes.

It's a corkie

Seems a lot of posters must be doing incredibly well to be thinking about trading out Whitfield. I'll likely keep him if its 2 weeks or less

That's interesting, as it means that he's getting the opportunity. Well he gets one more week, so I won't die wondering, haha

Um, Im not concerned with his impact on your teams winning %, in fact the Tiges have you guys this week so I say keep it up for one more week, but does Bevo not realise his effect on fantasy. Someone must have pointed it out by now. Its just amazing the selfishness of this man. Unbelievable.

Wow, I did not realize he was that cheap. That is definitely worth a look if he gets going
Yeah can’t believe he’s so cheap. I’m looking for someone in that price range and it’s him or Zac Jones. Jones feels safer but wow if Yeo gets going it could be a steal and a massive POD until the traders name him out 😂
