Dropping Reef of of 10 minutes AFL game time for Harrison of of 0 minutes VFL game time is one of the stranger selection suggestions I’ve seen in a long time.

Can’t believe the carryon over McInnes going out! He’s been on the edge since the Brisbane game and if we plan to use Cox forward as much as we did Saturday (with obvious positives for both player and club) there’s no structural need for him. I’d much rather the ground level presence of HH over the inconsistent marking (at senior level) of McInnes.

It is still possible that either Pendles or Steele will be the sub, and HH plays. Since HH plays wing, it would more likely be Steele as the sub, with Pendles then guaranteed of getting his 10000th early in the game.

Sullivan ahead in pecking order now but that decision was made a week ago when he was held out of the VFL

If that's the case, great recognition for him. Macrae hasn't really taken his chances but has been considered the next up for a while now.

Wasn't expecting any changes, but if it rains as expected, the extra pace from Harvey makes sense.

I don't think Reef's omission is a reflection on him, just that he needs a full game in the VFL.

Nothing wrong with the sub rule.
Issue is, if it’s 5 on the interchange, and one gets injured, there would be complaints of an unfair advantage, as one team has less people rotating.
So, let’s bring in another sub for that.

Then, people complain about the sub being a sub, and not an interchange. So, let’s make the Sixth player an interchange instead of a sub.
Then when a player gets injured, they complain about an unfair advantage, so let’s bring in a sub.
And so on…
I wouldn’t like a bench like they have in American Gridiron. In fact three interchanges an one sub is plenty..

I mean, his goal was a hand pass (gift) from bobby into the goal square so let’s not act like it was some impactful play.

They obviously looked at the weather and wanted to give HH a crack, and a full game for reef in the vfl. Totally fine

hmm I view it differently to a lot it seems. To me the 5mins of gametime was probably an indication he was on the way out of the team, a joe the goose goal gifted by Bobby wasn't gonna change that. WHE took his place in the forward line I think
