I don’t understand why at the end of your career you would change the way you hold the ball when lining up for goal.
I remember trying to teach my son how to kick and he argued no Dad this is the way Gunston holds the ball.
He has been holding the ball differently for years now. Just because Jack Reiwoldt (?) said it yesterday, doesn't mean it's true.

Any chance we can get Wingard into the side? Even as a sub. I would rather him play a half for us as opposed to Box Hill.
Reckon he probably plays 3 quarters at Box Hill this week.

I’m hopeful that Punky is right this week.

Gunston kicked poorly yesterday, but is still good for 2-3 goals if he kicks straight (he wasn't the only culprit, Ginni kicked 0.3 or 0.4 from similarly gettable shots). Don't think we drop him given our forward line is already the worst in the league by the length of a Karl Amon roost.

It's Lewis or bust I think. We just don't have any other good marking forwards. Ramsden is green, Chol is a liability, and we don't have a capable resting ruckman like the old days of Hale and McEvoy who could go forward and kick goals. Ginni, Watson, Bruest, Chad, Moore etc. are all short.

Just don't see how we fix this short term or even medium term. We need long marking options, we need big forwards. Even if Lewis could stay on the park and find his old form (fingers crossed but not looking good), we're still two marking options short and they take years to develop.

Most urgent list issue to address for mine, and not sure how we do it.
It’s not all doom and gloom on the tall forward front. Dear looks to be a player, but I’d be keeping my powder dry on him if I was on the selection committee.

Ramsden I can forgive for yesterday. When we the last time he played at Box Hill? Seems to have been carry over emergency a few times from memory. Probably needs to go back to Box Hill just to get some game time and confidence.

In: Lewis (if fit), Phillips, Mass
Out: Gunston, Ramsden, Morrison

Feel like Mass is a better choice than Morrison, much more aggressive in the contest. Also felt like Harry made some really poor decisions yesterday under minimal pressure. His disposal efficiency doesn't really tell the tale of how he sold teammates into trouble.

Tough for the selectors this week, they need to make big calls. Mitch wasn't overly disappointed with our efforts so I think they'll be looking at players who are more senior and who they have higher expectations of as ones to make way.

Gunners' goal kicking accuracy has never been the same ever since he was dealing with that ITB injury. I know he had a okay year a season or so before he went to Brissy but he was never the usual dead eye dick from 35-40 like he used to be.

I honestly think Ramsden is way off the pace. Assuming no Lewis again:

Phillips in down back, move Weddle up forward in place of Ramsden.

Gunston - he's so out of form, but who comes in?
I thought he played pretty well vs the Kangas.. So hes has as many good games as a lot the players this season.

Id keep him in for another week.

Tough job playing in that fwd line with our snail paced ball movement, especially when you're not a contested marker.

F**k me drunk. It was a shove to Gulden's chest. A free kick reversal? Definitely but no way in hell a 1 games suspension. How embarrassing for our game that things have come to this. If anything it was careless rather than intentional? Should only have been a fine IMO.

Well there you go, was a beautiful shot on goal, don’t know why you’d change it.
I hadn’t noticed until it was mentioned yesterday
