Surprised to see so many with Whitfield coming straight back in. I thought he would need at least a week at NEAFL level. It shows though just how highly rated he is by GWS fans.

He's been training for some time, he's in his fifth season and injuries. Given Kennedy has been doing Whitfield's job for some time, seems like a natural choice.

He has been training the whole time and been doing match simulations since coming back to the club. He will be coming back from a better base than cogs did

He's been training for the last month or so, he's just not been playing. But he is definitely highly rated.

Yeah, I thought of Cogs as a comparison after I posted. I hope he does play, would love to see him and WHE go head to head, plenty of silk between those two!

I think if there weren't the number of injuries there are, he would have come back via the magoos. But given Kenners in particular (who has been up on the wing) went down, they'll put him straight back in.

Could be a good time to blood Perryman if fit
Too late in the week for a debutant to be añnounced I think. Not disagreeing with your view. I thought this would be a year when it woukd be hard for youngsters to break in. I'm now seeing the value of blooding him and possibly Finlayson to build depth for the business end of the season.

With the unfortunate injuries to A Kennedy and also Buntine who would be next in line to play a similar role or how will players be shuffled around? Shaw/Williams and Wilson are the defenders/rebounders but could Whitfield play that role or in the NEAFL who has been playing that role? When Perryman was drafted the write ups i read I thought he could be a replacement for Shaw but he has been playing mid in the NEAFL from the numbers he has been getting and the game reviews, any other options?

Trealor not sighted at training today
