1. Parker + Crowden -> MacRae + Mutch
2. English + Findlayson -> MacRae + 170k ruck
3. Florent + English -> R Gray + Crossley

Thoughts? I'm leaving towards 1 ATM

Option 1 out of that lot.

Will likely get tagging jobs every now and then, plus is in and out of the side a lot.

I like you're thinking though. Has scored very nicely this year.

Even if he plays the next month with Shuey out for next 2 and he keeps his form until the byes, he could gain another 100k and score like an underpriced premo. Do you think he will be dropped soon?

Gonna back in Luke Parker another week.

Billings > Keeffe and swap a fresh Guelfi onto field.
Andrew Brayshaw > Macrae

No luxury trades for me this week now with news of Nic Nat's suspension. If he gets off will reverse it, but for now:

Savage > Mutch via Seeds DPP
Nic Nat > Stef Martin with 106K remaining

They're only losing coin if you move them on.

Which you are going to want to do some time as part of team completion. On current form, Parker is not going to be among the best mids nor probably Billings among the top forwards. Losing value on falling stocks makes it harder to turn failed experiments into stepping stones to true premiums who will bank the scores that win your league games and push up overall rankings.

I think I'll jump on Redden this week. 30 BE and no Shuey for at least this week, he's found some form and I think he'll go OK at least until the byes, maybe even make $100K while doing it. I don't trust Zorko just yet so will avoid for now.

English -> Keeffe
Finlayson -> Redden

Other option is whitfield - WCE don't really play the tagging half backer, as can be seen with Simpson and Lloyd earlier this year, so whits could go big at home. Although the amount of outs at GWS and WCE's pressure on the ball carrier may mean he gets less uncontested ball this game.

If Nic Nat doesn't get off, I can go NN -> Stef, but that leaves me with $0 in the bank and 0 ruckmen in the R13 bye :(

Often a scapegoat at the selection table, however news is Sheed may need another week and Shuey is 3-4 away (I hope we don't risk him until after the bye tbh) so you would assume his JS is solid until then. As seen on the weekend, his tagging on Robbie Gray wasn't close and he definetely has more of a license to win his own ball than he used to. I think you could comfortably say that he will average ~80 for the next month, and his BE is only 16 so a 100k increase isn't out of the question. You just have to weigh up if it's worth the extra cash over a rookie and an extra trade over a keeper.

I really am struggling with my team constantly having pure midfielders in my midfield, no DPPs to play with at all (4 mid/fwd in fwd, 2 def/mid in def). Amateur hour.

I've been close to trading Banfield, Fritsch, Dow and Brayshaw, but after a good week for all 4 their BE's are too low to trade this week. So far I've done English to Spargo. Leaves me with $207k and an upgrade to do, these are my current options:

Bont > move McLean to MID > Hogan
Bont > move Seedsman to MID > Sicily
Doedee/Finlayson > Sicily
Billings > Hogan
Billings > inanimate object

Could go anyway right now.

Last option. Inanimate objects are clearly an upgrade on Billings....

Thanks for that!

A lot will depend on whether Milera is available. I'm using that spot (F4) as a spot to play the breakevens, with a view to getting back Walters in a few weeks but keeping up premium-level scoring.

Having said that I'll probably prioritise Zorko this week and won't be able to get him + Hutchings. But other injuries can come up so it's good to know.

Did somebody mention having a spreadsheet where you track your player's week to week to see who is losing you the most money and to keep track of what price you brought players in at? I'm finding it hard to keep track of who has made money relative to when I traded them in (note: it's probably not a pretty picture, blissful ignorance might be better).

Billings tons up in Saints wins and did that again this year in their only win so might just hold him for now.

Yeah that's me.

One thing that has occurred to me (in the above discussion about Top 6 FWDs) is that when a player misses a game their 0 isn't figured into their average, but for your team obviously you cop a premium missing a game. So should be factored in somehow.

My word, very impressive stuff mate!

Most of it is formula driven, all I do is update for any games missed, total points scored (anyone I've brought in since Rd 1 I manually add their score for that week), their current price, and their BE.

For all the good it's done me! :p

Why would you move premiums on for team completion?

Because I dont believe Parker or Billings are premiums (Those who will be top 10 in their position).
Last round I moved on Parker for Mcrae. In round four I moved Billings (then $623k, now $551k) on for R Gray (then $636k, now $693k). The sums on the points scored will also tell a good story on that trade. With Parker to Mcrae I dropped a disapointment and bought into the best scorer in the comp. The downside is fielding a dodgy rook like Finlayson but he and Mutch gained value and Finlay can be delt with this week. There would be a stack of cheaper players that will give me what Parker has, only without the nostalgia of past season. The Swans are a different team now. Even JJK makes me a lttle nervous as a pick.
