Not sorry to see McKenna out. With Cutler back in we have to watch him when they have the ball and get it out wide to him. I’d put Robbo on him. Let’s see if Cuts is running both ways these days because we definitely know Mitch will.

Skinner was slated for a round 1 inclusion. You can even see it from the 9 news report yesterday. I said this the other day, but he was far and above our best forward in the preseason. There were a lot of articles from the Lions website hyping his form and the ankle injury was the only reason why he wasn't in the team to begin with.
Yet he couldn’t start in the marsh cup...

Absolutely. This was Skinner's spot to begin with. Had he not had the ankle injury in the preseason, he would have walked into our starting squad for round 1. I can sense a breakout game from him.

The beauty of Skinner is he is extremely talented, a mature body and yet an unknown quantity for oppositions (and me for that matter). How do you match him up? Or Ballenden for that matter.

One thing we know is Skinner won’t die wandering.

Not unless he wanders ill prepared into a desert or remote alpine region.

The really interesting thing for us is how Skinner and Ballenden go compared to our long time forward set up against a middle of the rung team.

I'm not expecting too much of these guys particularly on the preparation they've had but obviously it throws a different dimension into our forward line.

Hoping for pleasant surprises but realistically fingers crossed for them that they contribute efffectively.

Thinking the same thing myself Saucery.

Bombers won't be prepared if one of these guys starts clunking a few grabs

I get the romanticism of Skinner but not sure we can say he’s extremely talented. I don’t think Essendon will exactly be shaking in their boots about him.

hope he kicks a bag but the hype overblown
