I've carried Natalie the entire season. If he misses, he's got his bye next week, then likely 2 more price drops when he comes back.

If he's not named i'm trading him to little dick Zerrett.

Banking a cheeky 115K and a warm small chol'd body to play through the byes.

Hoping he doesn't go all pea heart on me, but other than Viney (who i've already got) there's only fat pig Clayton who's almost the same price as Fyfe.

Hmmmm, or Petracca.

I dunno, i'm chasing more value picks than paying full price these days.

Prior to Round 4.. I had the option of trading in Zerrett v Macrae (both similarly priced)... I went Zerrett :poo:

I wouldn't recommend it, yes he'll give you the odd score of 140...but he'll give you afew 60's in between.

I could do
Hill > McPherson
Dev Smith > Petracca
King > Close

Wanted to save that D5 spot for Stewart next week or is McPherson looked at as more of a future cash in? Goal is to bring in Lloyd as well.
Hard to tell without seeing the rest of your side, but smith and Hill are not PODs and unless they are on your bench dont make your team any more likely to win. Close is just as likely to score a 30 as a 70 this week.
I hate getting rookies after their price rise, but Macpherson will make some more cash. Close is fine as a downgrade, but try loop if you can.
Dev to Petracca is fine, but you are picking Petracca at almost full price and is really a blocking move as the other guy already has him.
If Hill is on your bench , can you do
Hill to ling
King to Close
Starch to Lloyd
Hopefully a bit bank to get Stewart next week.

I fall 28,000 short of that trade you suggested unfortunately BUT I could use Noble instead of Starch which leaves me with +13,300

Walters is out so need to trade. Which is better?

1. Walters > Ridley via Dawson
Dev Smith > Touk Miller

2. Walters > Petracca
Dawson > Touk Miller

3. Walters > Neale via Budarick (play Taylor/D Cameron)
Dawson > Stewart

I'd be bringing in Neale while you have the opportunity.

This was my experience in previous seasons (yes twice!) He's got a high ceiling, but a low floor which is why he's never been a SP. He also doesn't mind getting suspended. No bye though, but there are other options.

so what are you doing with the 5 defenders who have a bye next week?
Willo is being traded to Ling tonight...
SHill is being traded to Stewart next week. Means I should have 5 playing defenders next week

Both trades I mentioned in the post. Not sure what your point is

My advice is based on trying to win the game presented. To win, you need to downgrade a bench player and get that money onfield.
For instance, I traded McInerney and Lunchmeat to Baz Smith and Close this week. First two were on my bench last week and Close is still on bench meaning Baz is improving my side by replacing Bennell onfield. Also leaves me with some bank which was empty.
Next trade will be Walter's to premo or downgrading Green/ Brander to free up more cash.
If Noble is on you bench then trade him, but if you have Noble, Starch and King as onfield starters AND have non-playing rookies on bench then use the 3 trades a week to consolidate that money and get rookies off field. Best to look at value.
Hurn is super cheap, Ridley is still worth it. Stewart as you say next week.
Trap is getting in a Macpherson who played really well when Dodee went off. Already had price rises, and who knows what happens after 1 match when Dodee is back and you have a guy at d5 who is 250k and scoringing a 50.
It's easy to forget that finals start rd 14. Season is more than half over. No time left to be messing around.
Hurn, B Smith, H Clarke all value picks in def that could make your team better and if you could pick up 2 and a rookie for your bench for King, Hill and Noble. Not sure of the numbers will work but it's the principal.
Good luck.

I would be upgrading Noble(on field) > LLoyd, downgrading Hill(off field) > Ling and downgrading King(on field) > Close.

I would normally loop King with Sturt but he's not back yet. I thought about Hurn but I already have Yeo and Gaff in my side so I thought that would be too many Weagles players gone with the rd10 bye along with my Carlton boys and Sicily.
Only reason I was looking at trading Lunchmeat was because I read he might be carrying an injury.
I know Petracca is a must but I wasn't aware he was close to maxing out, so I can wait.
I did want LLoyd eventually anyway so I still love that option you gave me.

Doing some trades:

Starc, Taylor, Smith to Merrett, Parker (can also get Duncan or even Trac + Merrett together if i trade noble instead of starc), Close

v

Starc, Taylor to Neale and Close.

Both trades end up with similar money in the bank.

What does everyone think? Can't decide which way to go

That backline would be a killer with Lloyd.
Grab Simkin once he bottoms out.

Your moving in the right direction..nice team.

Looking good. Lloyd will make some difference to that side.

Ended up using all 3 trades and didnt look at byes, because F**K byes!

Out
Noble
Hill
M. King

In
H. Clark
McPherson (Adel) - I know he's increased already, but figure he's good to moo a little more considering how the crows are doing.
Close.

This let me swing Whitfield to the fwds and sets up bringing in T.Stew next week
