Round 9 trades

Papley, Howe, Ablett, Hall to add to my woes of last week. The only positive is that Weitering is back.
Whatever I do I still only have 20 on the field with Mason Cox as a DPP ruck forward wasted on an emergency bench as I can't move him to the forwards. I needed to cover for the still-omitted Barlow so traded out Ablett for Petracca and with the extra money picked up Riewoldt. The way Ablett has been going Petracca may not lose me anything.

Seriously... **** fantasy, all the crabs pulling out for bullshit reasons, when did players become so weak, I can barely miss a zero this week, only have emergencies in the midfield this week.

This makes me hate the game.

I feel like "soreness" wasn't a thing 5 years ago. Now there's multiple people out a week with it, every week.

Wonder if it is the less rotations??

Somehow managed to dodge most of the carnage this week and have bench cover on all lines which is a relief.

Going to trade:

Ablett > Dusty
+
Fantasia > McVeigh

Only benched premium is Hall, but the post above is not encouraging.

Jake Niall on twitter said he thinks Hall MAY not be straight back in with how Gold Coast are going. Also, they go to Perth next week so perhaps they could leave him out for an extra? Food for thought.
They have no hope of winning so why risk it next week in perth. Im pretty sure he and ablett will be out a couple weeks now. The question is should we hold hall. Ablets gone for me cause i think he might be out even lobger

Weird as hell year, most sides barely scrapping a full team. Not a single trustworthy captain, rookies having 20-30s and getting games next week. Please return to normally after the byes :( im not trading Gaz he needs a rest i always back a champion. Going Mills> MacPherson, Papley> Petracca. Im i the only one sick of Essendon/Sydney scrubs?

Would love some opinions guys, after a lot of moving and DPP action I can in fact dodge a donut this week with no emergencies and well over 1.5m on the pine with Hall, Ablett and Boyd all out.

The trades I'd have to make to field a whole side:

Clay Cameron -> Jackson Trengove
Tom Papley -> Christian Petracca

(Gives me an extra odd 20k to make it 118k in the kitty) This'd leave me with 11 players under 350k...

If I keep my original plans and go:

Gary Ablett -> Rhys Mathieson
Nick Kommer -> Zac Merett/Dayne Zorko

This give me an extra preamo, rookies under 350k but wear one zero. This is what I'm leaning towards. Merett/Zorko should just about score the equivalent of two rookies on their own, keeps my team in better stead in the long run, j get rid of the spud Kommer and get to jump on Mathieson nice and early.

ffs...absolute carnage round just found out before i make trades that i have the following injured or dropped in tom ruggles, bachar houli, matthew boyd, corey ellis, daniel wells, gary ablett, aaron hall, tom papley, lincoln mccarthy :mad: i'm having to copped a donut from defence and will just bring back boyd next week and trade out houli but since i need to score points to make up for injured premos/rookies and f*** ruggles you spud.

Trades this week is Aaron Hall/ Gary Ablett for Dayne Zorko/Michael Walters

How come you're trading Hall mate? I understand it's to dodge another donut and yes he may end up missing another week but Houli is out three months. If you trade him out you're going to want to trade him again before the end of the season too.

No harm in going for Trengove if you ask me!

Yeah that sucks dude :(

I could field a team of spuds, but might get Hall out early and go:

M Crouch -> J Lewis
Hall -> Montagna

While Hall is still probably a top 10 fwd, I think he's on the way down and may be rested at times with the struggling suns. I think Lewis has bottomed out for the year so it might be a good time to get on.

Considering Mundy too... but might wait awhile on him. Get in a rookie next week, hopefully I can afford to!

hall could be out for a couple of matches and he is a week 13 bye player and i will cop a donut either in the forward line or defence and i think dayne zorko will score more then a jimmy bartel who i would've swapped for houli but i will just have to suck it up and bring back hall in week 14 but my structure has too many week 13 bye players and thats how i have to revolve my team around and at this moment i have no bench cover players at all and just two weeks ago it was all green light

Hoping to bring in Z.Merrett, how confident are we he plays this weekend? That calf isn't going to be an issue?

Most seem to think it's just a knock and that he'll play. Just to be safe if go to Monty instead against the Bombers. Both top 6 forwards come end of year and Monty is a bit cheaper.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Monty doesn't really suit my bye structure, but have plenty of time to balance things out. Thanks :thumbsu:
