I think people are putting too much thought into these bye averages, trading a player in/out due to one week of a good or bad score isn’t the right move imo

zorko for example, average is 66, so you’ll only get that on his bye, but I’d back him to go 80-85 the other weeks so would make up for the average bye round

Is anyone considering trading a cavarra type who has lots of games first up to someone from gold coast so we can loophole deeper into the round?

i spent the cash last week on going Cavarra to Rankine and im happy with the choice, yes i spent big money, but Rankine just about made the cash up in one round

Have $490k in the bank and I think Gaff and Witts are prefect pickups with the fixture coming and after sliding from 3000th to 4200th I need to improve my team.

Gaff has an average on 92 so perfect for his bye.

Bennell > Close (keep Buderick as he is a guaranteed warm body!)
Andersen > Gaff
Pitt > Witts

Leaves me with $119k for next week.
Sucks to trade out Andersen but it's the only way I can get Gaff and Witts plus I have Stephens, Simpson, Close and Buderick as mid rooks, who are all getting games

Interesting- 92 imo is a pretty good captain score. I wonder if next round I can VC someone, then if they go under 92 I'll just put the C on Gaff for his bye.

I would think so yes.
I'm not going to get too cute with loopholing I dont think. I just want to get as many green lights happening and survive the next few weeks.

Keep plugging away, things can turnaround pretty quick. I had a slow start myself. Was 25k+ after the 2nd round. Then went from around 4.7k > 240 in the last 3 weeks. Next goal is Top100

So I'll be able to make trades up until lockout on Friday - then adjust positions, emergencies etc over the weekend ?? Or make trades on Sunday morning ???

Should be able to trade, adjust positions of any players unless they've played. E.g. No trading of Dogs/Tigers players on Thursday as they've played, rest of the players are fair game.

I believe you're able undo trades as well (subject to both players not being played of course, having enough funds, and no weird DPP shit).

Bye players locked in at start of the round. Good call. Less manipulation over the course of the weekend. Now that ive had time to think about it, this means less headaches over the whole weekend.

Yep, huge fan of this. Means if you get half way through a round you can’t just bring in Gaff’s 90 odd to save you
