Surely Tom Swifts performance today against the cats has to get him the nod.

He looked a bit nervous last week in his debut but today he got 27 possesions and kicked 4 goals and looked like he belonged out there!

Gees he is going to be a gun. Shoe in.

Agree. Was awesome through the middle but hes been managed by the coaching staff and 13 disposals is not enough to win him a Rising star nomination.
If his not in the middle they should put him on the wing or HBF because his no forward.

It has become a bit of stats award. I would think Swifts efforts against Bartell, theiving the ball from Ablett at speed and his strength and fight against the strongest mids in the competition should earn him points, still not enough for the nod this week but im sure against Richmond he will be given more time in the middle and will get space again.

If Collins featured in a winning team he would have been a shoe in. Averaging 20 touches a game (24 this week, 24 last week) and has kicked 8 goals in 8 games this year.

Didn;t he kick 2?

I think he kicked 1 at the most of him. While Pears was on the bench, Dempsey covered him, and this is when Walker kicked at least one of his two.

Pears held him to one handball in the first half. After Walker kicked 5 in the first half last week. This is after destroying the likes of Roughead, Pavlich etc. Pears not only beats his opponents, he gets the ball a lot and uses it well. Over the last month he has averaged just under 18 touches a game.

Only other option, Collins who has improved out of sight in the last 5 weeks.

yeah, but one was when Hocking was on Walker (Pears on the bench) and the other was a gift from a turnover (McPhee IIRC).
