Well. That was a game wasn't it? At least it was for about 20 minutes anyway. Despite some decent performances like SpecialBruce with 24 touches, 7 marks and a goal, DERRINALPHIL with 18 touches, 6 tackles and a pair of 6-pointers, and royboy2 and fitzroybowiedog holding 12 tackles between them, we just weren't in this game at all. We did have a few passengers too - Roylion only just having more posessions than frees against, Elmer_Hauser with a single touch in 120 minutes, which would be bad if it was not for some guy named Mooch who couldn't even manage that. Ah well. There's always next season.

Pretty quiet thread this week. The quietest of the year. We couldn't seem to get any banter going except amongst ourselves!

We find ourselves a couple of games outside the 8 now and face second place Royals next week. They had a bye this week so will be fresh and firing. We're going to have to be on our toes next week. Like a ballet dancer.

Well what a performance Roys! A big win, well deserved. TheGoatBaron with another haul - 8.4 this time. fitzroybowiedog dominated the middle with 21 touches and 9 ferocious tackles (and a goal). DERRINALPHIL with 21 touches and a pair of goals to go with another impressive ruck duel - 15 hitouts, 3KZ is Football with 23, Dicky Fitzwell and Phar Ace with 19 touches each, JackNah_8 with 2 goals (2.4 total), royboy2, Chezzalenko Reborn, and SpecialBruce with a goal a piece. Before Rd16 TheGoatBaron was 5th in the goalkicking and his 8 goal haul would have him up to 4th having played a game less than the top 3. ShaunDuggan is way out in front but if TheGoatBaron keeps up his form, he will push SD all the way for the Fred Medal. DERRINALPHIL sits only 4 hitouts behind cats2rise before today and has every chance of being top ruck dog at the end of the season. SpecialBruce is in 4th spot in disposals, 24 behind leader Mrs Turbo, having played a game less, so this should be another fascinating run in to the end of the season. Averaging 23 per game, he will be pushing Mrs T all the way here.

Also it's notable that over the last 7 rounds, tGB has picked up hauls of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 goals (in order: 4,5,7,3,6,2,8). He has not been held goalless since Round 11 of the previous season - 22 consecutive rounds with goals.

DERRINALPHIL trails first place in Hitouts by just 4.

Phar Ace runs =3rd in kicks, just 6 behind the leader.

SpecialBruce sits 2nd in handballs, tho 15 behind first place. Also 7th in disposals for the league.

fitzroybowiedog is smashing it in the tackle department (giggle), sitting 1st. Many of those tackles have resulted in positioning him 5th in Frees For.

Due to the discipline instilled by my fine (sic) captaincy, nobody stands out for Frees Against. Phar Ace is our highest placed, but way down in 12th spot leaguewide.

Our last two matches are an away match at Gumbania, followed by a big game at home v the Baghdad Bombers.

Sorry chief, I'll try to be more tardy in the last two rounds, I'm practicing some of these. A few 50m penalties and I can make up the ground. As Thomas says, "I think I can, I think I can"
