Round 1 has arrived, and like the smell of a new car or freshly cut grass - the season kicked off enjoyably with a comfortable thrashing of the Warriors...

Which was nice...

But after the game, the Roys sat around and discussed who had been the opposition's best poster...

Pictured: Pure Grunt making a very strong suggestion to the team.... That we need better ******* seating.....

Numerous names were suggested: The Filth Wizard , Purple7x08_24 , Dinsdale - but the overall winner for Rd 1 was spudmaster

An absolute honour to be awarded the prestigious Roy barrel and I thank yourself, Ted, and the rest of your crew, for the much-appreciated gift. I look forward to enjoying the spoils with my teammates once I get it back to Coney Island... Dinsdale promised to pick me up but has clearly forgotten.

I could be wrong but I don't think this one went to plan. Unless the plan was to not bother scoring while allowing the opposition free access to our goals. Could be the new strategy. I don't know. I'm out of the loop on these things. The important thing to know is that depite the loss, we still got to celebrate Pure Grunt kicking hist first (and second) goal for the club and was probably BoG in a Roys jersey. Congratulations sir! tigs2010 and Zevon tried to stem the tide and finished with 5 tackles each, the former also snagging a couple of goals. JackNah_8 topped the disposals with 19.

After a ridiculous performance last week, tigs2010 is leading the way after 2 rounds (I know but we need the content so what can you do?) but you would imagine that Pure Grunt, 3KZ is Football and JackNah_8 will be hot on his heels in the coming weeks.

Next up is the OOBs (Out of Bounders) who are currently propping up the entire league on -2 points. Yes you read that right - they are very much in the negative. Let's keep it that way.

6 brief write ups are all that are required, one for each match - then posting them at the beginning of the week.

You can do them as an individual or jointly if needed.

My sources tell me that after the game, the Roys faithful met to discuss who had been the best opposition poster. After some spirited and non-LG influenced discussion, a clear winner emerged (possibly).



That winner was Gumbies rising star, CatToTheFuture !! Falconista , beez and Barrybran may have also been mentioned - although this can currently be considered heresay.
