Old Boys v Roys Match Stats
This turned out to be (mostly) a cracking game. At least until it wasn't anyway. We had some very good performances but fell just short on this one. I blame that Mooch character for missing so many opportunities (3.5 goals). What a waste of the great work by JackNah_8 (29 disposals, 4 tackles), DERRINALPHIL (12 hutouts, 18 possies, 2.1 goals), 3KZ is Football (25 disposals). tigs2010 and Zevon tackled anything that moved (9 and 7 tackles respectively) and many things that didn't. Doris is now refusing to serve the half time oranges pitch-side going forward. Keeping us in the game until late, we should mention the 4.1 kicked by Elmer_Judd and 2.0 by _Mike_. Special mention too to MrsEddieBetts with her first - of many - Roys goals.
The season so far....
Let's just say it is still early in the season and leave it there. Actually that might be a but unfair on tigs2010 who is racking up DT points like a mudderchuffer, and 3KZ is Football, Pure Grunt and JackNah_8 who are doing a decent job of not letting him get out of sight. I'll try and do a league comparison next week and see where we're at competition-wise.
Speaking of next week ..... we come home to face 3rd-place Bears at the BJO. Bring your poker faces, keep your aces up your sleave, and if you have an uncle called Jack who happens to be black, then be sure to speak to him this week about a winning strategy. If he has any, ask him to send them on a postcard to TedDougChris c/o The Big Office, Brunswick Junction Oval, Sweet.
