Trying to impress someone with whom he’d already been in a long term relationship (of sorts) for decades of course. Affair or not I think that’s well past the point of needing to show off.

Exactly. And she was a mild mannered elderly CWA member. Not a US Republican Congresswoman, who might have been impressed.

Agree he didnt initially go and check Clays status
Surely if your wrestling with someone for a gun and it goes off and blows someone’s brain to pieces you’d both basically freeze and call the police instantly.

It’s hard to believe Russell Hill wouldn’t take a fair bit of responsibility and star weeping.

You’d think Greg Lynn would jump in his car basically instantly and drive for help or police?

Did the grill him more on these events

It actually looks like a camper trailer with out the tent on it.
The ply is where the tent would be.
Thanks. I wonder why police didn't call the trailer a camping trailer instead of box trailer. That may answer why they haven't located such after public appeals. Also why their artist didn't include the flat top appearance instead of a soft looking appearance.

Could have been the first time she had observed RH piloting his drone and pulling someone up about illegal shooting.

Could be that RH was in adrenalin overload and beyond weeping but in deep shock realizing his finger was on the trigger and then intended to inflict harm to the person who owned the firearm he had taken possession of and that is why he followed GL with knife in hand as he was returning the firearm to his own vehicle to lock it away.

Scenario. If RH had taken possession of GL firearm as he had stated, and if it was preloaded maybe GL had forgotten it was preloaded, how would RH carry the firearm to keep GL from taking it back? With 2 hands, one on the stock the other on the barrel?

I think given there was a scuffle in front of RH vehicle and obvious evidence the firearm was auctioned there, RH had made his way back to his vehicle intending to lock the firearm in his own vehicle.

In any criminal
matter the jury have a very difficult position having to commence their duties at the starting line of innocence.

Ah yes the old “abandon me in bed to instigate conflict with a gun wielding stranger in an isolated area while we’re just trying to have a discreet weekend away” move. Hot hot hot.
A Hollywood trope of direct to video horror movie from the 1980's

Sad isn't it; reducing two people's lives to this

Yep

The jury has no evidence before it that Hill's drone was flying after about 16:00. It has no evidence of the drone capturing any evidence of anybody's activities

He has ticked a box in his narrative which gave him justification for the altercation with Hill and then Hill seeking to steal the gun in the dark and part of his actions in covering up the crime scene

Take the drone out of the equation and it changes the entire scenario of his actions that day (including time frames)

The physical evidence presented suggests that at least one shot was fired from near the toilet tent which may have hit the mirror.

Clay died of a gunshot wound at closeish range to the head underneath the awning, which exploded part of her skull outside the immediate vicinity of her death. I presume this skull fragment was found in a position where the shot could have been fired from near the bull bar.

No evidence led to the contrary

Lynn may have crept up around the back of the toilet tent in the blind spot of anybody seated outside the tent and therefore missed the guy rope to fire this shot (and any other shots)

Glasses found in the tent doesn't mean that the couple were in bed, oniy means that there was a concerted efforts to clean up the camp site, including throwing the solar panel inside the tent

Hill's firing of 3 shots into the air, may have been Lynn's attempt to change a time frame to suit his narrative.

Every step of disproving elements of Lynn's testimony and ROI decreases the jury's conscious suspension of disbelief of his narrative
You make very interesting points GreyRanga.
One thing that i mulled over for a bit last night and today, and then again reading your post...what if the guy wire has something to do with him 'accidently' shooting Carol or Russell? If indeed he was doing his best Elmer Fudd sneaking up stalker-style around the front of the vehicle, with the gun loaded, and he was caught out/startled by Russell/Carol loiteting, and he got tangled in the guy rope after not seeing it, causing him to inadvertantly fire the trigger, killing Russell or Carol.
I know the guy rope has more than a little signifcance to this case, and I do agree, I feelhe was stalking their camp in a somewhat stealth manner.
Just a possible theory, no evidence other than what is already out there...just exercising my brain, thinking of all the possible ways a gun of Lynns ended up in Hill's camp and killed 1 or both of them...
Its is most certainly a very surreal set of circumstances...

Hill's daughter testified her father only went shooting once that she can remember, so this would be before he handed his guns in.

I've handled a lot of guns back in the day but I couldn't go straight to someone's car in the dark and take a cased one out, correctly identify it, then find the right ammunition, while the owner's only metres away, correctly load it and fire while I'm subsequently being chased down for it.

Now imagine I'm 74yo and I haven't even got my glasses on.
Or a head torch illuminating...😉

Hey craffles you said to tag you if there’s a verdict.

No verdict yet. :p

😂😂😂😂 love it. I’m okay for more of this so long as someone does when there actually is a verdict. Thread is moving way too fast for me to keep up 😂

Completely brazen letting that skip. DD surely didn’t rehearse that response? The mask slipped for a moment.
Maybe DD didn't rehearse it, but he certainly doubled down on it on 2nd day when giving his summation to Jury. I was surprised he raised/reinforced this in front of the Jury. One thing for Lynn to say it under examination by Prs., but big leap IMO for DD to pick up and run with it in front of the Jury, when nothing had been made in that inference prior....it was very disappointed in DD's strategy in that particular point..🤔 That went from being excellent, dilligent defence counsel, IMO, to straight out disingenuous...🙄

Okay,Yeah I don't remember that either.I was just thinking today how much we miss in spite of podcasts, news reports etc when justice Croucher said today in response to the Jury asking for a repeat of GL's evidence and ballistics that those two repeats alone is FIVE HOURS duration .No wonder we are in the dark with a lot in this case,I appreciate your curious mind, fingers crossed the jury has a level headed take on all this as we have !
I've lost my Mars Bar...i expected end of day 2 in the poll...😔🤣

Ok, so the jury has to go through the evidence, or at least pretend to. (I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them walked into the deliberation room muttering “Guilty! Guilty!”) But some will be sticklers for procedure. Hopefully they will look at every word spouted by Lynn and and conclude “B…sh..!”

the total obliteration of every shred of evidence as to how the couple died should be evidence itself that they met with foul play at the hands of Lynn.
