Wiki and Google reveal very little of significance… perhaps you’d care to share your insights?
If you have a Prime TV subscription you might enjoy (it's worth have a trial subscription to binge watch the show!)

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (TV Series 2017– ) - IMDb
It has won 20 emmys.
It shows how stand up comedy changed so much over the years.
The character of Lenny Bruce is pivotal to the show - more in later seasons.

Our first hint that the show is based on real life is in season 1, episode 1, when Midge gives her very first drunken performance at the Gaslight Cafe and gets arrested for using profanity. In the police car, Midge meets another comic arrested for obscenity, and he introduces himself as Lenny Bruce.

Lenny Bruce, of course, is one of the most famous comedians of all time. Known for his liberal use of sex jokes and vulgar language, Bruce was actually tried and convicted for obscenity in 1964, and the trial ended up serving as a landmark case for freedom of speech in the U.S. He was posthumously pardoned in 2003.

Lol. I really enjoy that show. Absolute cracking writing. The cast just obviously have a wonderful time.

Lenny Bruce has long been a hero and I have a tradition of listening to his tapes on Good Friday (I also listen to Mort Sahl and a couple of Kinky Friedman tunes)

I think he might be gone in a few weeks time.

that would be good, he's ex-IPA, what a nasty breeding ground that "institute" is
would be good to see a lot of those independents get up ... force whoever forms govt to actually pay heed to why they were elected, and to what communities want, not what vested interests want

Craig Hutchison owns the Melbourne Team.
FWIW he doesn't any more.

He now owns the Perth Wildcats although he retains a non controlling stake in Melb Utd.
He stepped down as Chairman of Melb when he took over the Wildcats.

Although 'Cop that Hutchy' might be even more appropriate in the context of the Wildcats.
He assumed ownership and they missed the finals for the first time since 1986.

:)

Who cares what's he done wrong to you , anyhow he had United last year and they won !

FWIW you’ve gotta like their chances against the perennially under-achieving Kings hey?

It would seem unlikely but who knows.

To steer back on topic a bit it has been interesting to see the Nbl in Tasmania and the buzz it has generated .

I would never switch to a Tassie afl team so maybe it is different , but there’s certainly something here if done correctly for an afl side.
