Playing on was ridiculous and proved so. I suppose he got $s but nothing else. His form in 2021 had dipped to near C Grade levels. He just could not adapt to transition through the corridor and was still kicking to the boundary.

Your criticism of the coaches trialling him at half back was absurd and insulting.

He provided value in 2021, justifiable to stay on. And you continue to have a go at his character re: in it for the money.

Personally I don't think Parker offers that much in terms of transition, or disposal in many cases, should he retire? Teams needs players of various types.

I'm sorry if you were offended by the criticism of coaches putting one of our slowest players, not known for great kicking, at half back.

You're missing the point. JPK still had value as an inside mid, even with the same issues as Parker has. Parker obviously has another position he could play, but that's not the point. Are you saying JPK wasn't a wonderful leader?

Anyway, I'm done on this topic. You did a drive-by of a legend of our club, fitting with past obsession over him playing on, then pretend to be the aggrieved when called out. I'm sure it'll come up again, but that's on you.

Ridiculous fan boi attitude from you, but what can you expect. It is stating the obvious he played at least one season too long and 2022 ended in violent ignominy that was out of character. He was a terrific player for our Club for a long time. I wish he had retired with a wonderful send off in 2021.

I disagree with this as a summary of my/your commentary on JPK. But, I do appreciate a lot of your other input on here. Best to stop before we incur the wrath of the mods.

I really didn't want to get involved in this and I am, always have been and always will be one of JPK's biggest fanbois (to use your vernacular though it should probably be fangrl in my case) but I couldn't let this go through to the keeper.
You do realise that it takes two sides to agree to him playing on yes?

Yep. I know you were and are! Think the Club agreed provided JPK had a crack at HBF which he did.
