Could we organise a "house of representatives" for the main posters on this board?

Not necessarily 2 or more parties, but distribution from right to left.

Would be interesting to see how it turns out. We could refer to it if anyone "crosses the floor" on a particular issue. This could even reflect the "mood" in the community if for example a "green" member strongly disagrees with say Bob Brown on an issue or a conservative member promotes a point of view endorsed by Mike Moore.

Maybe a peer system could rank the candidates from "most left" to "most right", would avoid 50 posters nominating as "centre"

When its done one of the resident experts could plot it in a layout like parliament house.

Could even have ministers, leaders etc nominated for.

As this is the most interesting board it would be great for followers like myself who dont see every thread, and for newbies to get a grasp of the debate on here.

So any ideas on how to put it into practice?

BTW i'm Laurie Oaks

PS Sorry if its been done, couldnt find it in search but might have used wrong keywords

Not going to happen. Too many of us are drifters.

I am an avowed capitalist, but I also hold a lot of left views on security issues.

I guess I'd probably fit as Labor Centre (is there a Centre?) or Left faction.

I nominate myself as Prime Minister. I can do that because if anyone says that I'm not the best PM, I'll just edit the post. :)

-DaveW was formerly Prime Minister, but he reneged on the Moderators Board pact, and I forced him to the backbenches once I had the numbers. I'm thinking of nominating him as speaker though.

-Krupskaya 'Kenny' Mantis famously won the seat of O'Connor for the Loony Left party, and in the tradition of that seat is the government's designated pit bull.

-Just Maybe is attorney-general, but only because I needed the numbers in caucus.

- Contra Mundum got Workplace Relations. However, if he doesn't stop making speeches in Latin, I'm thinking of replacing him with Murray.

- Dan Warna was forced into retirement after crossing the floor to attack GuruJane during Question Time... but we made him Ambadassor to the US.

- Weaver was reluctant to enter Parliament, but I told him that if he didn't run I might have to make Just Maybe Foreign Minister. So he took the job.

- Mr Q is Treasurer. He spends almost all of his time on fact finding missions overseas, but that's ok because we're the Loony Left party. We don't care about the budget anyway.

- MightyFighting got Education. He said he'd teach me a lesson after I overlooked him for the Treasury, so I thought I'd give him the opportunity.

- Bombers 2003 got Science and Technology. We just hope the Opposition doesn't ask any Science related questions, or we might have to let him answer. He's banned from mentioning Stalin.

- We gave Health to Pessimistic. After what the Rabid Right did to it last time they were in power, the task was hopeless anyway.

- 1JasonOz was given Defence. Because unlike most of us, he actually seems to know what he's talking about.

- FuManchu is Government Whip. He seems to get on too well with his opposite number, though, Skipper Kelly. We're starting to get suspicious, but between the two of them they keep us in line.

- Freo Big Fella is Minister for the Environment. He says he likes grass, but we think he meant trees. At least, if he didn't, we hope it doesn't hit the press.

- PerthCrow is minister for Immigration. He promises to increase the number of Brazilians in Australia.

- GuruJane says she used to be one of us, but she's gone to sit with her 'Real Leftist' friends on the Right-hand side of the Chamber.

Thats what i'm talkin' about!
Now is there a viable opposition?

do the backbenchers agree with the cabinet structure?

my mail is theres talk of a "democratic loony left" party splitting from the organisation. "autocratic leadership" is one of the reasons cited...
Could have serious implications for the slim majority (of seats) held.
Particuarly if a serious alternative is presented soon.

rJ's Conservative Nationalist Party is guaranteed about another 100 terms with this mob in opposition.
