I woke up this morning to a revelation. i can no longer continue along this dark path. 2 weeks i have trudged wearily through the mire and what have i achieved? 3 possessions and a miserly 1.2 on the scoresheet. these are not the statistics of a mighty Roy, even one who has had complications with their heart medication. if it had been only 1 week i would have forgiven myself, but 2 weeks running, this is no longer the path to glory. as i stared into the mirror, those little rhuemy eyes judging me under the fluorescent light, i questioned not only my ability to be Roy, but what kind of man i had become. i must get out of my zimmer frame and stand and fight. i say this now:

This has to end. this will end. no more 1 possession games, no more possessionless quarters. i will not have my dynamic midfield continue to carry me upon their shoulders as a palative nurse would. i thought my time was the 1940s, but i say MY TIME IS NOW. fitzroybulldog will be reborn in mud, blood and fury.
