From reading the thread so far, I'd have to say the Bears are better than the Royals. I am extremely tired though...

I've been pretty slack this week, just been extremely busy. I'll make more of an effort this weekend, with it being completely freed up and all with no Sydney game.

I feel the club's now on the brink.

PVF no longer has any interest, ClarkeM is trying hard to follow in the footsteps of boncer34, and TheFreshBanana is no longer up for the challenge.

Who's the next leader to fall by the wayside? Surely we can't see all 3 depart at the beginning of season 19....then again it's becoming a regular occurrence.

I'm sure they'll always have their back to back triumph as bragging rights, particularly when success is the main point.

We take pride in the fact that we have never bottomed out to the point of finishing last, especially back to back.

It took the West Coast Wonders 7 seasons to taste success, so we still have almost 5 seasons to surpass that achievement, and judging by our pre-season title, it won't take as long as it did you to eventuate...yes we have won something much to your dismay.

After the current round, the Wonders will fall to 1-4 in what is their worst start to a season since season 7 when you in fact became the West Coast Wonders.

How the mighty have fallen

It took the Wonders 15 games to win their first Premiership. Nice try though.

I think you'll find the Royals culture makes it impossible for people to leave. I even had a captaincy position at the Warriors I knocked back due to my unwillingness to depart from this magnificent club.

I guess with the pantskyle drama, coupled with the EF99 situation, it's not surprising you lost a few important players, who all decided the Wonders weren't the club to take them forward. When your VC leaves, you know you have some serious problems within the ranks.

What ended up eventuating from the ClarkeM fiasco? Is he still co-captain, or did you decide to seek an alternate route after he tried to take the mickey out of the competition by signing players without their consent? Were you struggling to field a side for season 18? Quite surprising considering you're the reigning premiers. You'd imagine players would be queuing up to be part of a side who's tasted success more than others recently, but instead they all can't wait to sign the release papers. Not surprising Duggs returned to add some respectability to the cause. Maybe your desperate pleas forced his hand.

That's culture.

Uncle_Leo, Snappy!, Deddy, Akkaps and I'm sure there are more found it possible to leave.

What can I say, we had a bad season off the field and didn't start off on the best note at the start of this season. I have learnt from my mistakes and I'm planning on taking the Wonders into a different direction.

The Wonders as a club are that bad, it seems PVF (their captain) can no longer make a concerted effort to post the side, rather leaving the honors to a mercenary as a good will gesture, while he sits at the blackjack table at the local Gold City Star Casino winning copious amounts of money.

Bad mistake as it seems TheFreshBanana isn't up to the challenge. Positional changes are interesting. Particularly the part that indicates Big Bad Buddy playing as RR despite not being named in that position.

You should know more than anyone else that RL takes priority over the SFA. Might want to check the news, a captain of the Wonders did infact post the team.

I did say the West Coast Wonders. Nevertheless, every side was on a even keel in season 1, so I'll stick with my original point of 7 seasons to taste success.

3 of those players departed before Wise Guy Sam took official control, and Uncle_Leo left for his own reasons.
