Plank style pub chips are a bit of a mystery to the seppos I think too. I only ever came across the shoestring variant in my travels there.

Nada - but it just made my to do list! The Dirty Swan does a great meat lovers parma with BBQ sauce, ham and salami. As far as parma deviations go it’s pretty damn good.

I do love how pasta is treated as a side dish in the States and not just as a main meal in and of itself.

Also the whole concept of an ‘entree’ being a main new throws Aussie tourists the first time around.

Different countries think differently. It’s an Italian dish...most things Italian at home come with spaghetti. Can’t help it.
Personally...I don’t like the idea of ham on it. You can’t really taste it, and all it does is add salt. Chicken parm is already tasty enough.

It’s a main meal, too. But if you go out to eat...pffft...who wants spaghetti? You can make it at home, pretty dirt cheap.
