Could we extend the stats/ fantasy to say points per percentage of time on ground?Last season we identified a non-Captain from each team who was willing to vote, in whichever way they wanted, for as many rookies as they wanted to. The results were standardised by giving the best 20 points, second best 19 …. and so on.
Captains vote for the EKA, so this was the next best thing. To maintain integrity, each voter should not vote for any rookie from their own team.
Important to note the Rising Star is meant to be based on a combination of Qooty AND posting.
For some reference points, Mobbs results &/or serial_thrilla’s Extended Statistics (end-of-season DreamTeam points) can assist with Qooty comparisons. This factor could be worked out separately or in conjunction with the posting results.
serial_thrilla’s end-of-season posting results only account for the quantity of posting, but beez rankings may shed some light on the quality of posting.
So let's say each rookie is ranked on
- fantasy points per TOG
- EKA Ranking
- Post numbers
- Defensive Stats?
So a player that is ranked first, fifth, second and ninth in those categories would get 10 + 6 + 9 + 2 = 27 points.
A player that gets third in all categories ends up with 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 32 points.
This is a first draft, but takes out any personal bias, and removes pressure from members to have to pay attention and remember.
Chief Can the rookies also get a badge for their rookie season? or a subtitle/perma signature or something to help easily identify them? (If we are going into an objective voting system)
What options do we have that are easy to add and remove as each season rolls around?
