Your one of the cricket followers that follows a lot T20 Cricket around the world.

Where do you rate SA comp compared to the rest in terms of quality is it better then the PSL.

Graeme Smith talks it up in a typical South African cocky way.

But they have basically destroyed there international home schedule for this and that personally doesn't sit well with me.

I still prefer watching International Cricket over Franchise Cricket.

I suppose SA Cricket they need the money from somewhere.

SA20 is on par with the BBL in terms of level of play. Whilst the stadiums aren't as big as Australias, the crowds atmosphere is just as good if not better than BBL. Feels like a party vibe. In terms of playing quality the BBL and SA20 are on par. And a bit like their international teams, the Australian teams still have an overall better batting quality compared to South Africas. Although there is a solid core in : Klaasen, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Ryan Rickelton to name a few. Bowling and fielding wise, both teams would be pretty solid in their home decks.

I know we live in a world where money talks. The SA20 salary cap is $2.65 USD Million for this current season (from a source I read online) and the BBL has a cap of $3 AUD million. You can make of what you will with that but it does seem to me the international players in the SA20 are better than the ones we have in the BBL.



Graeme Smith in an interview with Sky recently said he prefers a league where home ground players play a major role rather than a league like the ILT20 where its majority international players. I think he has a fair point there.

I don't see how I missed the point, you said T20 is "light entertainment".
South Africa seems to be focusing on that format, because old men aren't really worth focusing on.
