I very much doubt the club leaked this non-story. It is simply lazy CH9 "journalists" rehashing a story from late last season. This is only "new" in the sense that CH9 see news.
You're more than likely right. Morris might be a weasel, however he is a well-connected one. I see now the Magpies leaving the SANFL has popped up again in the news cycle today, it genuinely wouldn't surprise if the club has used all the Vic media being in town as an opportunity to brief interstate journos on all the agendas they want to push, in an attempt to control the narrative.

Don't believe the club would've leaked this. They'd be spewing and "Kenny" would've thrown the toys out the cot.
I like your idea better - a scenario where Ken is upset pleases me immensely.

Pretty ambiguous report, "nothing official" "I'd be very surprised" "looking like"

If it comes to fruition, it's change, but it's not the change we deserve. I'll give Carr his opportunity to turn things around and bring actual "success", ultimately he's still an unknown, but we absolutely need to see change at other levels, football dept. board, admin.....Koch!

To me this screams having your cake and eating it too from the people that have backed Ken unreservedly. This way they never have to admit defeat in backing Ken multiple times against the supporters wishes, they just hand over to Carr, give Ken his ticket tape parade send off as our savior and his protege gets to continue, the media and club all spin it as a "great success" (Borat impression) which absolves them of ponying up to the fact that despite their "stability" and "faith" in Ken, he never actually achieved and we wasted years of talent and time. And if Carr does ultimately win anything, sure as eggs all who backed Ken will be reminding everyone that the program is just a continuation of Kens good work.

It's still not holding anybody accountable.

Our set shot kicking for goal is an issue but the game plan is trash. This bringing the ball to ground crap with the ball 'locked in', overcrowded forward line, endless stoppages and hurried snaps in congestion is just garbage. We press too high which leads to the opposition forward line looking like something I only dream about and ours, a dog's brekky.

In the coaches' manual does it say you are not allowed to change things on game day? Watching bits of Saurday again I see the only real difference between the sides at HT is Gawn (umpiring aside). So in the second half we minimise his influence by not rucking Finlayson and also entering F50 around him and not on his chest? Right?

Our forward line is disfunctional, one of the reasons is our forwards, Dixon in particular stands under the ball instead of leading and commanding the ball from the kicker. The best forwards run to the position where they want the ball to be delivered. If Dixon just stands there with 2 opponents it's a low percentage thing to do, he has to make the kicker deliver the ball to a spot he wants by making the play himself, it will then become second nature for the players to put the ball to his advantage on a lead.
Locket, Schulz, Hodges all played that way with great results but not a side coached by Hinkley.

The problem is just about the whole team's accuracy, as well as gameplan and intent, more than individual wastefulness. We kicked 13.11 on the night, really not that bad.

The issue is more about the superior inside 50 numbers for nothing.

This guy knew how and gave his all to Port.

Why the pain is still worth it for Port’s warrior

HE is concerned how his rebuilt body will hold up later in life but football’s miracle man Jay Schulz says the pain has been worth it, reports Adelaide Oval. “That first 15 minutes after a win, it’s priceless,’’ the veteran Port Adelaide key forward said.

Nah it works fine, just as long as we generate 100 inside 50's per game - do that, and we should be able to kick a winning score more often than not. What could possibly go wrong?

‘Please stick with us’: Cornes defends Port’s new program

Port Adelaide ‘couldn’t have done more work’ on its goal kicking over summer – but the Power has still kicked more behinds than any other side this year. So, what’s the issue?

The issue is sack Hinkley.
Worked harder rather than smarter?

Chad cornes was an average shot at goal and spent the most successful part of his career in the backline. What credentials does he have to talk about goalkicking

Just stick with us until Donald Trump becomes pope - we should be able to get it right by then.
