Snake oil salesman - has been for a decade and we're too gutless to stop buying the garbageFukk he sounds so clueless!
Jeezus how has this buffoon hoodwinked a club for 12 years.
Successful season.... Ahh.. well he didn't win a premiership so he must of made the community proud? My fear he stays
Hart's get promoted to after a successful season coaching the SANFL
I had that one too hahaI did wonder why we didn't see a new word map after the last survey. They always ask for 5 words that come to mind when you think of PAFC. I just wrote "mediocrity" which probably doesn't look good on promotional material...
Might get to sack Hinkley 13 before the b and f tonight
I dint get how Hartlett is even a coach. Absolute ****ing numpty!Successful season.... Ahh.. well he didn't win a premiership so he must of made the community proud?
Or blew ken.
One of the two.
This is essentially the crux of it. The club wants him gone but also wants a clean divorce. They'd have offered him a settlement, one which he'd have scoffed at. The difference in $ between what the club offered as a severence package, and what he'd earn if he sees out his contract could potentially be as much as half a million dollars. In my opinion Hinkley is now challenging the club to sack him, so he can get all his money. He has a contract.
No idea.I dint get how Hartlett is even a coach. Absolute ****ing numpty!
Whatās the point really? He will be at Port forever. And the fans job in 2025 will be to make him cry at every home game.
I say why wait... Let's make him cry nowAnd the fans job in 2025 will be to make him cry at every home game.
Remember the hagiographic video they made after the 13 wins extension? Ken filmed from the side, sitting casually against the desk in his thinking pose, as if heās some sort of sage. He said something to the players like nobody matters except the people in this room. It was a taste of what heās likely been telling them for years and how emotionally manipulative he is.Ken makes it about himself. He started to speak this way when he first arrived. "I'm the right man standing. We wrap our arms around each other. Outside noise. It's a tough competition. I've been around a long time."
He drives the narrative, the us against them, but it's them (he and the players) versus the supporters and our unrealistic expectations.
When we lose, "it's not our fault. We did the best we possibly can. Players might not be good enough. If we played the younger ones, we would've lost by more."
All of this bullsh*t comes out of his mouth over and over again. It's like he's the abuser and the players are the captees. The "I love the players. I can't leave the boys." It's weird.
I won't even get started.about what he and his manger have done with his contract negotiations and renegotiations,. particularly around covid but that's the fault of CD, KT and the Board.
He's a manipulator and he'll do and say pretty much anything so he comes out either "Kenny the hero" or "poor Kenny".
Whatās the point really? He will be at Port forever.
To me the most telling part of the interview yesterday was Ken bringing up the fact that Fagan and Brisbane stayed the course and after 6 finals series they finally won one, suggesting with all the young talent we currently have if we persist long enough a premiership isnāt far away. So I think weāre dealing with a board majority currently thinking along similar lines.
The other thing is they seem scared to make the ultimate call.
It really seems like thereās quite a few people on that board that shouldnāt be anywhere near running what we want in a ruthless and successful football club.
Should have been the first one out of the door after the PF.I dint get how Hartlett is even a coach. Absolute ****ing numpty!
See I hear you but I am almost past breaking point and about to just give up the cause entirely. This is not the club I have supported since 1988 and it hasnāt been for many years. I stayed a member during the dark times pre Hinkley but next year I wonāt be renewing (already cancelled my auto renewal) and unlike previous seasons I just canāt see myself jumping back on close to the start if the season. The full venom of the fans and members needs to be unleashed. Heās taken a dump on the club, has never embraced the ruthless nature of our winning history and shown no care for the people that make up the club. He needs to be broken down mentally now. This is at breaking point surely.
How someone can smugly hang around a place where so many people loathe you, is quite impressive in a narcissistic, upsetting kind of way.
Iāve never seen a scenario like it in professional sports. Not for this length of time.
There was an ok amount of references to the admin and team performance in there are least. Not heaps but at least the whole thing wasn't "how much do you heart emoji Coles grocery dash see you at the footy"?I just did it - any opportunity to 'type' you remind them to Sack Hinkley.
Nothing about Ken or coaching in the survey, they did mention 'administration'.
I think they know what people think re coaching....
2025 here we come...
I understand you're just the membership department so sorry for the rant but our options to have a say are so small at the moment. I hope this gets passed on to the relevant people but I suspect it will be thrown out. This is hard because we are supporters have no say any more. We are an AFL controlled club, not a member one, with no plans to ever change back. We are unable to only vote in 2 member elected board members so we sit here year after year with AFL appointed people and are just expected to live with what they say. The lack of accountability is staggering.
We are a club that says it "exists to win premierships" but continues to keep a head coach on that has gone the longest time ever without getting into a grand final. He can't even lead us to win big games (aside from the Hawthorn final and even that we only won 1 quarter). He has no answers, no change in the game plan, constantly blames others. When the fans dare criticise him the media is trotted out to call us "fickle supporters" (I've been a supporter for nearly 30 years so that's a ridiculous statement). Even our players do - Charlie Dixon attacking the fanbase, etc. Why do you think this is suddenly going to change in year 13? Hinkley is a born loser and has instilled the feeling into the players that they are losers too. They panic in big games. There's no on field leadership. JHF tries his guts out but can't do it alone.
As supporters we get gaslighted into being told our expectations are too high. Hinkley comes out and says it's the best list we ever had and we will challenge for the premiership. We then lose games and the narrative from the media (Kane, Caro, Whatley, etc are clearly fed info and gossip by Port) becomes "Ken is doing the best he can with a bad list nobody expected Port to do well this year". That's happened many years in a row now. Richardson puts out a goal of "3 premierships in 5 years" (with no substance behind it) but then when supporters want change we get told "it's not the SANFL any more you can't win every year". True but it's been 21 years since we've won one and we look no closer to ever winning one. We are happy to accept the mediocrity of getting in the finals but never being a challenger.
We are constantly told that Port has increased it's membership to record numbers, we have a great new stadium that people love going to, we have good sponsors and less debt - but despite this we are told that if we make any changes we could go back to 2012 levels. This is used as an excuse to coast along doing nothing. Why not back in ourselves that even if we drop off a bit with a coaching change, our club won't die. Clubs go backwards to go forwards all the time - see Brisbane, Collingwood, etc. It would be better than being nothing.
Koch mouths off when he doesn't need to and clearly doesn't know much about football. Why did he spruik giving Hinkley a decision in August last year when everyone knows finals are our issue? He needs to shut up.
Richardson is a weak leader who does nothing and needs to go.
Chris Davies runs our football department like a mates club and needs to go.
But most of all, Hinkley needs to go. He's not a winner. He has no plan b. There's a reason nobody ever expects us to win the premiership and he is it. We won't go anywhere with him in charge. He needs to go.
I, like many others, am a passionate and dedicated supporter and member. I love the Port Adelaide Football Club. But keeping losers in charge and accepting mediocrity is making me lose my faith. The longer it goes on, the more genuine supporters you'll lose forever.
Sack Hinkley
Sack Richardson
Make some change. Actually try and win a premiership.
That would be even better but it won't happen. Many attended the Hawks final after the pathetic effort against the Cats. I wasn't one of them.
Iām not talking about incoming. Iām aware Carr is apparently talking to potential players to come in.Nah if they are contracted stiff shit, Josh Carr apparently talking to the trade targets more than Ken is interesting.
The club continues to ignore its foundational members.
A members survey is useless when they donāt even bother making any meaningful change
Of course it wont happen and no one contracted gets traded because they sulk for five minutes.Iām not talking about incoming. Iām aware Carr is apparently talking to potential players to come in.
If the belief is that some players are tied to Ken (Butters) then I assume this is why. To avoid an apparent āexodusā which I doubt would happen anyway
