Are the cuts self imposed of AFL imposed? - we basically didn't replace Voss or Schofield with like for likes.

Pretty sure he had hand-shaked a deal with GC, then as you said some buckled? After the infamous Kochie rant in the rooms as goes the story - the handshake I heard the story from a pretty well known figure outside of the club who knows a very well known person (who has direct ties to club at that time).

My guess is Kockie and Ken are hitched together, most likely as Ken probably said well if I was headed to GC then i'd be there for 5 years min - hence why my thinking is that''s what the club officially 'owes him for staying - 5 years is end of this year - that's purely the way I see it and my own opinion.
Makes good sense but you know Port's.

I think he defintley will be gone before round 10, if your current form continues, if not, I think a potential spill of the Board is required.
Unfortunately under our club's constitution, the members have no power to do this.

I support port Adelaide fc... So the sooner we get rid of Koch and Hinkley the sooner we can get back to what made us great.
I agree with what your saying but even me who’s been in love with this club for well over 50 years find myself not upset one little bit that we lost last week.

I never thought it would come to this but I don’t want us to win a game until Hinkley is gone.
It’s a real struggle for me to say that but I see it as the only way out of this debacle.

I just don't understand why Kern doesn't come under a lot more heat from the influential media in Melbourne.

David Teague (and he had to go) was under massive pressure from the media here in his final 6 months on the job, and he was only coach for 2 and a bit years.

Kern has been at Port for over 10 years, and yet still is barely a mention of the coaching hot seat here (Ratts was on it until the last 2 weeks)

This is part of your (PAFC's) problem

If Kinkley was a coach of a Vic club, I am almost certain he would have been gone years ago.

My personal thoughts on this is the media and AFL feed off each other.

The Vic centric media don't really care about Ports. We're just another show that's meant to fill in the non prime time slots.

Port being mediocre suits the AFL agenda as we're good enough to raise some interest but not good enough to take the limelight off their main stars (perceived bigger clubs that bring in more dollars)

So us under achieving is ok as long as we don't hurt the AFL bottom line. However if we bottom out and struggle to pay our way, then questions will be raised in a heart beat.

Agree after the showdown crap I was pissed.... But in the back of mind I was... 🤔 Hinkley is a dead man walking....

And our players would lose that game. They rarely deliver on big ocassions under Hinkley.
If they couldn't perform on the occasion of Russell Ebert's testimonial, they certainly wouldn't for an underperforming coach.

I just can't believe that the media haven't been all over him, they love him and it's all the players fault, the fans expect too much.
Absolutely we expect a lot - we expect a premiership. There's more chance of me making my AFL debut, than there is of Hinkley taking us to the summit, and I've got bad knees.

id be very surprised if Melbourne dont do a number on us, 10 goals plus. But they are the premiers so you cant expect anything else, you know the team Ken thought he was playing in the grand final last year before he led the club into the most bruise free prelim in recent history, those premiers

This is something I want to know....

There's nothing in "Sack Hinkley" that contravenes any of the above.
