Absolute spineless gutless blaming the base !!
Koch needs to stick to what he knows, which is show boating on TV, where talk is cheap.

the man doesn't fit in the world of high performance sport where you need a spine to succeed. He can't hack it when he can't spin it, and now he's completely lost control. Sucked in wanka, your ship is sinking.

King saw this and spoke about it in 2018 ish. I recall the talkback.

King is doing the badcop whilst everyone else is the good cop…..

I reckon if we keep losing and hit the bye at like 3-9 which is quite possible the pressure will be immense. One of Koch or Hinkley wouldn't be able to deal with it. Could easily see him gone earlier like round 13-14.
Oh but Kock said they are all doing the best they can lol.

You know I never really liked Eddie McGuire that much but he dam well stuck up for the Collingwood footy club and their history. Also knew when to quit.

About time you did the same Koch, listen to the supporters, they are upset because you fail to listen to them.

Remember one thing Koch, there would be no PAFC without it's paying members and supporters, no job for the coach that you protect like a school boy.

David Koch, the fans are and own the PAFC and don't you forget it.

Remember, no one man man is bigger than the club.

...
On Media Watch last night Paul Barry pointed out that of the 11 interviews Scotty From Marketing faced the morning after the budget only 2 interviewers didn't ask him about his former colleague's assessment of his character the day before. One of those 2 was David Koch whose only hard hitting non-budget question was about Shane Warne's memorial.

He's a soft Kock who wants everyone to like him and is completely incapable of making tough decisions. Of course he can't understand, let alone cope with people being critical. Morning TV show buffoon suits him to a tee.

Could not possibly barrack against Port Adelaide. Ken will get the job done of his own accord in spite of the players giving 100% and the supporters being behind the club.

We will chip the ball sideways in defence allowing Melbourne to set up and trap it there.
We will raise the eyes and go long to Charlie in the forward line. Charlie of course isn’t there but….

We will get beaten at stoppages going long out of defence because our best tap ruck is being kept out by a average ruck who is doing a useful job as a midfielder that could be done by a midfielder.

Pretty comfortable with being 100% behind Port and Ken providing the outcome we deserve.

If David Koch was as effective an advocate for Port as McGuire was for Collingwood, we'd be wearing the prison bars every week by now.

What possible good could that do? We'll have to dust off the tarps.
No good, but if those in charge had any idea or guts we'd never have had Hinkley as coach the last 3 or 4 years. We all want him gone, but they aren't going to suddenly grow a brain. We've already seen they are just doubling down on it's everyone / everything else's fault. Fine, the only hope then is we crater so badly that Koch and Richo have no choice, but to go this year as well, for the clean sweep. Probably better, as if Koch suddenly decided sacking Hinkley was good for Koch, we'd still be stuck with him going forward.

I really wish everyone at the club would stop analysing and critiquing our preparation and strategy and talk more about execution /sarcasm

If i hear another person talk about our execution....It's apparently been "execution" every week this season. Execution isn't a thing itself... You execute "something". Like a game plan or a strategy, or a kick, or a mark or a handball. Just saying "It's our execution" says absolutely nothing other than attempting to absolve anyone who isn't on the field of any blame whatsoever.

Dixon criticising the supporters for criticising the same coach that apparently instructs the team to bomb it to him while he's got three players hanging off him is the height of Stockholm Syndrome.

In the context it is being used "execution" is doing the job that the coaches and players are paid very handsomely to do. So when you hear players and coaches say that the issue is with "execution" they are admitting they are not doing the job they are paid to do.

The tide absolutely is turning. We're 3 games into a season. In 2019 we couldn't get the media to talk about sacking him like we are now. Now the noise will get louder and louder with every loss.

I posted in the showdown gameday
thread something along the lines of "This is how they respond to last week's debacle?".
I guess that's the most illuminating thing I've seen yet about how things are going inside the club. A unified club would have responded to the Hawthorn loss by mercilessly belting the crows. Instead, they turned up and put in a pea hearted performance reminiscent of performances we're accustomed to seeing from playing groups that have long since been lost by the coach.
Don't listen to a word the players say about the coach publicly. He's lost them. They are no longer listening or playing for him. It's all but over.

Signs were there all preseason.. being pumped with a near full strength team by Gold Coast, then struggling against the Crows again with our near full strength team. Then in the Hawks game they visibly quit on him and so we got last week which again they might say they want to but they aren't in it anymore with him.

A coach always has the board's support until he doesn't.
I look forward to Ken being told by the board that they're right behind him. You have to be right behind someone, in order to stab them in the back.

I just don't understand why Kern doesn't come under a lot more heat from the influential media in Melbourne.

David Teague (and he had to go) was under massive pressure from the media here in his final 6 months on the job, and he was only coach for 2 and a bit years.

Kern has been at Port for over 10 years, and yet still is barely a mention of the coaching hot seat here (Ratts was on it until the last 2 weeks)

This is part of your (PAFC's) problem

If Kinkley was a coach of a Vic club, I am almost certain he would have been gone years ago.

I think he defintley will be gone before round 10, if your current form continues, if not, I think a potential spill of the Board is required.

Mind you, I have a feeling that The Pear will pull off a miracle win against the Dees, and Kern will be safe again for a while.

Feels like as supporters, you guys are in a really suckass position.

I think you should still go to games and buy memberships and support the club instead of Ken Barbie Coach.

The last quarter last week was dreadful on reflection. Watch some of the efforts from supposed senior players (not to mention Wines and Boak missing relatively easy shots in front of goal).

maybe they were Misses For The Greater Good™, like when Stevie G decided to miss a penalty to lose to Blackburn and get rid of owlface:

This would only be a remote possibility if the players and the club as a whole we're right behind Hinkley, and I do not believe they are.
In my opinion the losses are only going to get messier.

Ken was a used car salesman, so he knows just what to say and what not to say with the media.

We just want a coach that can take the next step and not burn another list. Ken has seen over 60 players leave or retire in his time here.
Conner Rozee was 12 when Hinkley arrived at Alberton.

I just feel that:
a) they won't want a caretaker coach for half a season, especially with the cuts we had in our coaching department this year
b) they'll give him every chance to turn it around until its mathematically impossible to make the finals

Are the cuts self imposed of AFL imposed? - we basically didn't replace Voss or Schofield with like for likes.
It was almost done end of 2017. I am certain of that, then a certain few buckled....

Pretty sure he had hand-shaked a deal with GC, then as you said some buckled? After the infamous Kochie rant in the rooms as goes the story - the handshake I heard the story from a pretty well known figure outside of the club who knows a very well known person (who has direct ties to club at that time).

My guess is Kockie and Ken are hitched together, most likely as Ken probably said well if I was headed to GC then i'd be there for 5 years min - hence why my thinking is that''s what the club officially 'owes him for staying - 5 years is end of this year - that's purely the way I see it and my own opinion.

The melbourne media dont give a **** about Port, thats why he doesnt come under scrutiny. They see hes made 3 prelims in 9 years and probably think thats job well done
