I've noticed the 8-3 rhetoric has died down now that we're 8-5 since our start.

Wait till next week and it'll be 8-6 and the concept that the first 5 rounds was just bad luck might start to disappear.

If any journalists worth their salt were out there, they'd question the 1-8, but also question the leads we've given up.

Melb - 31 R18 & 53 R4
Cats - 34 R19 & 35 R10
Carlton - 50
Freo - 40
Rich - 26
Hawks - 64

This is true. The 0-5 had pure putrid games v Hawks / Melb. Woeful halves against Crows and Blues. Bris was decent.
Then, of the wins, we beat the Eagles/North/Giants/Bombers (all woeful at the time). St Kilda away you say was gritty win. Sydney was our best performance of the season and we scraped in against the Suns.... its not that great reading from 0-5 either.

I've just heard from a great source

"KENNY'S BEING SACKED TODAY !!!@"
Well excuse us if we don't hold our collective breath about this.

Does this person work at the club? Without being specific, what type of connection do they have?

Or are you just talking shit?

How vicious are some of the responses to what is all-in-all, the most harmless public expression of dissent one could possibly make?

Cheese Louise have we underestimated the almost religious fervour for this bloke.

It's a cult at this stage. These people think if they say enough nice things about Ken they'll be the chosen ones by the club and those in charge.

Just imagine the Port Board when it really does come true

Remember the code of the schoolyard: Never say anything unless you're sure everyone feels the exact same way you do.

its hard to still play the if they didnt go 0-5 card when ultimately we went 4-5 in our first 9 games and have gone 4-5 in our next 9 for a mediocre 8-10.

I'm mostly just tired of 10 years of the continual playing of the if game.

If we dont go 0-5
if with dont switch off for 10-30 minutes
if we showed up at the start of the 2021 PF
if we didnt go 1-6 in our last 7 games of 2018
if we the ump didnt blow the high free in the 2017 EF
if we didnt kick out on the full 3 time in the 2017 EF
if the they didnt ban Paddy and Angus for 2016
if we finished inside top for 2014
if we didnt kick 3.9 in the first qtr of the 2014 PF.
if we didnt go conservative after being 4 goals up to the cats in the 2013 SF

just sack the campaigner already. hes had 10 years and nothing.

not only will have to break the whole 10 years no premiership thing he will also need to do something hes never done before and bounce back in the finals after from missing them for a year.

missed in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022 &.....2023?

I'm all for replacing Hinkley, but I do think the whole #sackhinkley thing does us more damage than good. It certainly doesn't help when trying to attract players or staff to the club. It's personal and entirely without nuance. There are justifiable, evidence backed reasons why Port Adelaide should be seriously looking at replacing the coach. There's even a good argument to be made that we should have done it a while ago. "Sack Hinkley" doesn't do any of that. It just gives ammunition to the media (who control the narrative) to label us as ungrateful simpletons. It's got attention, but i just worry it's also done some damage.
