They've become everything we used to mock about crows supporters. All they want is a safe and happy environment and a relatively good chance of turning up every second week for the happy vibes of a win at home. Premierships? Pfffft! A premiership dynasty? LOL!!!

Wow, we've got bigger problems than i thought given how many Port supporters on social media are actually upset by that Sack Hinkley sign. How can any Port supporter not want him sacked by now, it is getting ridiculous.

I'm all for replacing Hinkley, but I do think the whole #sackhinkley thing does us more damage than good. It certainly doesn't help when trying to attract players or staff to the club.

Nah, I wouldn't think this changes anything. Anyone with coaching aspirations or players seeking success will still see Port as a viable destination because we have the talent and can compete.

They know that the club culture & on field strategy needs some tweaking to get it to the next level.

"Sack Hinkley" doesn't do any of that. It just gives ammunition to the media (who control the narrative) to label us as ungrateful simpletons. It's got attention, but i just worry it's also done some damage.

Who gives a shit about media? They never really given Port much air time in the first place. The club should worry more about the fans, membership numbers & attendances especially when they get fed up with the underachieving over the last decade.

This is the key for me.

Dixon and Lycett missing for half the year was a perfect storm which meant that Finlayson, who would be an epic forward/second ruck, had to take more of a primary role in the side. When Dixon came back in, Finlayson was able to swap with Charlie up forward and give us better looks, but our system would be far better if Dixon was able to stay forward and it was Lycett who Finlayson was swapping with.

You put Lycett and Dixon in the side, and suddenly Finlayson is in the role that Ladhams was playing in 2021 but far more dangerous, which would have taken the pressure off of Georgiades to kick goals and use this year to consolidate his around the ground work. But there's a silver lining to everything - we probably wouldn't have seen Marshall develop the way he did without Dixon missing.

Koch is also right about the fact that the players and coaches have stuck together. The last time a coach that had reached consecutive prelim finals the two years before was sacked was Rodney Eade, and it was obvious that he had reached the end of the road with the playing list when they lost multiple games in a row by big margins.

It really comes down to whether we think Ken is capable of winning a premiership. Ten years of evidence suggests he's not. It's not that he's a bad coach, he's actually a good coach but after 10 years I'm certainly convinced that he's not capable of the extra level required to be a great coach that out-coaches the 17 other coaches to win a flag.

If we had a decent board, they would see that Ken is not premiership material.

It's personal and entirely without nuance. There are justifiable, evidence backed reasons why Port Adelaide should be seriously looking at replacing the coach. There's even a good argument to be made that we should have done it a while ago. "Sack Hinkley" doesn't do any of that. If the board was competent and strong on the footy program then they would've sacked him by now and there wouldn't have to be fan led campaigns.
