thats says something because you aren't prone to melts like some of us

Can’t defend him or the players against that. Again he has selected an unfit player and made a selection (time Fox) to cover said injury and it has made us worse.

Horse will cop a lot of heat but the players should take a good look at themselves as well. They over committed at the contest and were half hearted when the Lions were on the break.

This is worse to cop than 2022. But nothing at the club will change until the coach is changed.

I will be going to the GF Dinner at Crown tonight and expect it to be a rather sombre affair.

I have relentlessly defended Horse and his record. I still believe that he is one of the best, if not the best, at extracting the maximum out of a young draftee or player traded in from another system.

And for the most part, he is a great game day tactician.

However, this caper is ultimately about lifting the cup and flying the blue pennant flag. And for whatever reason, as inexplicable as it may be, it is clear that after 4 appearances where we were not only beaten, but were largely uncompetitive, he is incapable of extracting the best out of the playing group on grand final day.

With this in mind, and if he has any shred of dignity, he will do the right thing and inform the crowd at tonight's dinner - many of whom have a long association with the club and have spent a fortune to be here - that he is tendering his resignation as head coach of the Sydney Swans football club, effective immediately.

I would also implore everyone to put their frustrations aside at this time and refrain from personal insults against one another as there is nothing to be gained from doing so, and let's face it - we are all hurting at this time.

Have a good off season and see you all next year!

Feel for ya, it was supposed to be an exciting occasion but wouldnt be surprised if it was awkward silence all around.

Yup, it's incredibly disappointing to lose 4 GF in a row, however the Swans midfielders need to take a good hard look at themselves. The mids could not win a contested possession if their lives depended on it and that carried across the whole field. Not going to call any names out, however it was a putrid performance from the midfield for the 4th consecutive GF. That's not on Horse but the players themselves. Disappointed themselves and their fans despite Brisbane being damn good today.

Kudos to Brisbane, who missed out last year, however they were clearly the better team today and smashed the Swans in contested footy. Need to draft some midfielders who can win the ball and a clearance as Swans were second to the ball all game and last GF too.

I hate my team losing GF as much as anyone, however today wasn't on the coaches. If the boys can't have any composure do they all get traded out in the off season? No, however Sheldrick better get fit over the off season or the same dynamics will be there next year.

This hurts so bad and I'm so disappointed that it wasn't a close contest for all the Bloods fans and neutrals out there.

The fact it has happened four times over 10 years kinda indicates that it is definitely at the feet of the coaching.

Different playing group, different mix, same result.

Unfortunately, Horse can lead us to water 💦 😞 but he can't make his team drink.
Bashing the coach is easy after 4 GF losses, but the player's as a whole need to accept responsibility.
Our slow starts & clearance work is an Achilles heel that has bitten us hard, especially the losses in 22 & 24.
Grundy's drop in form & ball use especially inside 50 to a lack of a competitive target is also problematic.
Maybe we've overachieved in making Grand Finals, but it's starting to really burn continually not being competitive when it matters most.

Not all on the coaches but team selection and preparation to get the boys up in the GF is on them...

Fagan manages to get them up for the GF each year and we cant...? Especially against the Pies who had everything going for them.

4 times ....three no shows ...this year we had everything go for us during the year. When we lost our closest competitors lost. We avoided our bogey teams in the finals.
And we get 2014 and 2022 again...
I would be happy for Horse to go into a director of football role have Cox takeover but number one focus is on developing a team that can win clearances. We have everything else just get the ball first. We are a reactive side we should be at least breaking even on clearances.
Sorry you can blame players as much as you want and for sure they didn't turn up. But three times we have got tanked and our coach has been the same and the game plan has barely changed.

I think this is one of our most emotive threads. How much can a coach influence the players winning the ball at the coalface? Motivation is important but at the end of the day it’s on the players to perform and we folded again.

This has happened three out of four times now over a decade.

There is a glaringly obvious common denominator.

100% the players honestly sucked, however if it looks like a duck...

He's a ****ing fraud and now has cemented himself as a perennial grand final choker. Fall on your sword now.
