How many more shitful conclusions to a season before he gets some heat on him!

Get close you know while losing still sucks you go into 2025 full of optimism.

Logan improves 5%
Pickup a DFA etc
Amartey becomes more consistent etc..

Its hope probably the same Brisbane felt in 2023 when you get obliterated and make no noticeable list improvements its.. bloody dire as a supporter.

Obliterated???? Lions lost the 23 GF by 4 points!
If we had lost ours by 4 points I'd feel a hell of lot more confident for next season.

Only one if you have your way.
Have a sleep for 365 days and wake up relieved.
Or have another free hit.

Yeah I get your anger. You want it to last for another year. Whatever. I guess you will get at least another 365 posts in this thread to add to your badge. Cheap posts. Not positive posts.

People that disagree with something have a right to grind. For a period. Then it becomes obsessive.

I reckon you could add thousands of posts to catch up to LukeParkerNo1 just in this thread.

What a wonderful contribution to the site.

You keep coming to a roast thread looking for positivity then get your knickers in a twist. Perhaps try the ignore button or not
clicking on the thread. Feels like
only one person has an obsession, perhaps you will call us all Port supporters again.

Either way I don't really give a shite. I will continue to discuss the club anyway I see fit, if I break the forum rules I am sure the moderators will advise me.

No worries. I am allowed my opinion.

You’re in the minority and good for you, but don’t come on here and complain

Your opinion isn’t more valued or correct than anyone else

If you love him so much start an Extend Horse thread and you can sit in there posting to yourself about how he’s such a great coach

So the Saints in the NFL sack their coach after 7 losses and won't boot our coach after pathetic Grand Final performances. Show how much of a happy clapper club we are.
So if you were in charge you would sack him today. That would be big news reverberating around the AFL. Senior executives have to do some work. Have to get the press conferences in place. Sort out who takes over temporarily. Go on a search for a coach. Lots of work. Then there is the disruption to the club who are arguably in contention for a flag. Do players leave (like Warner) due to the instability in the club. Club stability is one reason why we are successful long term. Players and employees like stability and certainty. Rash decisions forced on the club has repercussions. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Players could be unhappy. Unhappiness translates to poor performances etc etc.

This is the sort of stuff that happens at other clubs.

I for one am glad I am a Swans supporter. The amount of poor decisions, the amount of short term decisions, the amount of rash decisions, the amount of reactionary decisions, the amount of negative outcomes from decisions all affect the playing group, the supporters, the administration and the club sponsors etc.

The Swans are not a poor, short term, rash, reactionary club when making important decisions.

I like the fact that other clubs make dumb, short term, reactionary decisions. If they are continually degrading their flag chances then our flag chances rise like a tide.

First world problems. We are making so many grand finals but can't win one.

Be very careful what you wish for.

Sitting on your hands and accepting mediocrity isn’t any better

I can only imagine if Chris Fagan was our coach.

There’d have been some shrill voices on here demanding his sacking over the Hawthorn issues.

Short term reactionary is never good.

But with Horse, I don’t think it’s short term (or perhaps even reactionary). There’s surely a succession plan.

Haha what a load of nonsense, the only thing that is shrill is the tone of your post

Longmire needs to go because he has failed over and over again, some of us recognised his shortcomings many seasons ago so it’s hardly reactionary

Your Fagan imaginings are gaslighting of the highest order attempting to paint those who want Longmire gone as hysterical

Sorry DQ but that's the most illogical post you've ever written. There's certainly one or two on here with a holier than thou attitude, but I can't imagine there would have been anywhere near the reaction you've stated.

I actually think if anything, the criticism of Horse is long-term reactionary.

Many including myself have not really entertained the idea of sacking Horse until now. We might've seen his shortcomings and acknowledged them, but his strengths as a coach far out-weighed his weaknesses.

But 14 years on - hardly short-term? - I think the gap between his strengths and his weaknesses is shrinking more and more. There is now plenty to dislike about what he has done with the team and the list, and it's starting to add up and become costly in games & seasons where we fail to live up to our potential.

Short-term reactionary would've been sacking him after 2014 because we had one bad grand final, or 2016 because he had a negative win-loss record in grand finals. We're nearly a decade on from that...

I don't think they are sitting on their hands. Not sacking your coach is not sitting on your hands. If that were true then you could blame most clubs every year for sitting on their hands. Especially most clubs that sign their coaches to multi-year deals.

I agree. It will sort itself out. The plans are in place.
