I have a bottle of three cuts cherry blossom gin and it’s sensational, a gift from my daughter. Here’s the thing it’s cheap at my Dan in Brighton and quite a lot more elsewhere. Who knew dans had different prices from store to store but they do so keep your eye out for that.

I’ve bought some very good wines at wildly discounted prices at my local so always check any stores near you before you buy.

Wow great to see we all got through January without a drink well done 🤔. I myself murdered a few beers over the journey but I now have a conundrum.

Super Bowl Monday is coming up and I love a themed day, where can I buy an American beer these days, everything is brewed here.

I’m a patriots fan so I’m trying to pick a team, my family were in Philadelphia for god knows how long from the 1600’s but my dad was born in Kansas and lived for some time in Kansas city 🤔. I think I’m on the eagles as can you be a saints fan and not love an underdog and also as a nod to George who I’m sure will be cheering on the eagles.

So what are we drinking and more importantly what are we eating on the big day ?. Suggestions other than eat shit will be welcomed.

I used to go to superbowl parties back in the day. Drinking horrible American beer like Coors or Bud and hotdogs seemed to be the only constant. Always at a time of day unsuited to either. What do you usually do?

Not a hell of a lot to be honest, usually everyone is working so when I can get it maybe a few Samuel Adams late in the game. Can’t stomach most of the brews at that hour especially now they’re brewed here. Food is the same deal, maybe some charcoal chicken or just grab a burger.

I might add there’s good bbq near me but it’s an effort to get it and I just can’t be bothered for one. Same as poppers etc it’s just too much effort, my son who is into it has a presentation at 12 so it’s just all a bit too much effort. We’ll be on the eagles but if KC win you’re watching history being made, I’m torn really.

My daughter and grandson will come over but she has zero interest and whilst he is an amazing little man and might watch some of the game with me it’s more wow than anything else.

I’m ready for the afl to start, it’s the circle I guess but all my teams are building rather than contending.

Get him on to it early so you have a SB buddy for the future.

Settled on a 4 pack of Sierra Nevada for Monday discounted at Woolworths, a very good brew.

Sorry boys the vintage cellars members deals must have been a stuff up, they honoured my purchases but I see the site has altered and slabs are back to $57 & $58 not $29. Oh well I’m pretty happy with a couple of cheap slabs.

If you like a Guinness or I should say if you liked Guinness before they started brewing it here and are looking for something different then Aldi have imported Murphy’s Irish stout on sale from today.

I’ve always liked Murphy’s so I’ve grabbed a few to put away for St Patrick’s day. I also grabbed some berg German style knackwurst, they make the best hot dogs and have a nice snap when you bite them.

Rarely go to Aldi but saw the stout in the catalogue and decided why not as I haven’t been able to buy Murphy’s around here for over 12 months.
