I almost forgot this show existed.

Bit of a shame, because now I can see the quality of the discussions and content so far seems to exceed that of the big network shows, which are hardly about the football anymore. Will have to start tuning in more often :thumbsu:

re-watch the game from the 2nd half onwards, watch the effort that sees him casually running between contests
I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!

Carrazzo and Waite not back for the Blues.

In: Armfield, Ellard, Yarran, Cachia, Watson
Out: Lucas, Bell

Waite is our kryptonite. This is great news.

Simpkin stiff. Almost felt like it was Jackson Ferguson-esque. Bringing him in for one game which we were absolutely slaughtered in. Then dropped straight away. Hope he doesn't drop his head. Really keen to see Bruce and Dusntan back in the side. And I'd be happy with any of the 4 other in's. :) Someone gets their chance, hope the grab onto it.

Interesting that all three of our 2013 draftees will play together for the first time on Monday. Just 8 weeks into their first season. Mav Weller will be out there as well. Kinda sucks that we still haven't seen the class of 2011 grace the field together yet. Hopefully that happens sometime this year.

Spot on.

I will not re watch that game ever. I will trust seeing him for 5 years and the one thing I have never seen him do is give up. Like I said he has other issues as far as being a regular but one isnt giving up.

Just on Bruce, yes they don't have Jarrad Waite but they've still got Lachie Henderson and Levi Casboult up forward who are both going alright. I personally think our back line structure looked good with Bruce + Delaney and i'd have Henderson V Delaney and Bruce V Casboult, sick of seeing James Gwilt being played as a KPD when it's clear as anything he plays badly when made too while when not playing as a KPD he is usually pretty good getting low 20's in disposals along with going at a good DE.

Brucey was stiff to be dropped in the first place, i think he'll be back in.

Happy with the changes so far. Hope he doesn't and don't expect Sip will come in off the back of just one very good game. Needs to put a couple together. Good to see Murdoch close, as I like him a lot.
Just think it's not just one game for Sippa. As Richo said in the report tonight, he's been building for a while. These are the scores out of ten given by thunda's crew:
  1. Frankston: 4/10, so not so good.
  2. Box Hill: 7.5/10, which is pretty good.
  3. North Ballarat: 8/10, including 2 goals.
  4. Casey: 7/10, including 6 tackles and a couple of points. If he'd turned them to goals, probably an 8.
  5. Essendon: 9/10.
That's hardly one good game. Outside of the Frankston game, he's done pretty well over quite some time, and is playing in a role that we are starved for right now.

IN -
Dunstan, Bruce, Milera

Dunstan- speaks for itself
Milera- good form all year so far, and has had good history against Carlton.
Bruce - in due to having a defender out, hopefully there's a matchup for him if Henderson goes to Roo.

I think Siposs needs to be more consistent to get a game yet, but naming him shows that his not that far off yet. Hopefully makes him more hungry.
Murdoch I don't think can squeeze anyone out of the side yet!
Shenton, was tossing up between him and Milera, went for Milera just due to his history against Carlton. But can be either of them. Can't wait till shents wears the red, white and black this year.

Simpkin very stiff to be dropped! To drop him after such a thumping in his 1st game for the year, wouldn't give him much confidence. People saying Bruce should have played? What you think we would have lost by 23 goals, not 24, would not have made any difference, his not that good YET!

In: Josh Bruce, Luke Dunstan, Arryn Siposs, Terry Milera, Cameron Shenton/Brodie Murdoch (one of them)
Out: Tom Simpkin, Shane Savage, Jarryn Geary, Josh Saunders, unsure for the 5th.

Saunders, unlucky he'll probably remain but i like his pressure i'd just like to bring in someone who is more of a goal threat in possibly Milera.. Riewoldt clearly needs help up forward so bring in Tez, Sippa should help along with Billings, Roo, Stanley etc.

I keep trying to figure out a team but it just does my head in. Damn us for having too many players I want to see play.

Just bring him back in I say! We need a change, we need another forward option, and he needs the chance to show what he can do.
Let him play!

#DontSkipTheSip

This.

We desperately need another forward marking option and Siposs is the only one brought into the squad so has to play imo.

His form has been good and he's shown before he can cut it at AFL level so I can't understand why people are reluctant to bring him in.

I'll be pissed off if he doesn't play tbh.

Not sure we will play 2 of Siposs, Murdoch and Milera and I think Siposs is the one who will get the spot.

Richo seems to like having 2 slots up forward reserved for a defensive forward(Saunders/Jones) and a resting mid. I think adding 2 of the more dedicated forwards might compromise that forward 50 pressure too much. If Siposs performs better than Savage we should see a lift in our scoring power without compromising that pressure. But really it mostly relies on how our mids deliver the ball inside 50. If we just kick it to Roo in 2v1's or bomb it long without a real target then we will struggle to score no matter who we have in the team.

Ray, Jones, Weller, Saunders, Milera, Acres, Murdoch all named on the interchange for Sandy. So I guess the outs come from there.
Ray, Acres and Weller are named on the field for Saints, and unlike last year, we don't tend to play funny buggers with the named team
IMO the players cut down from the bench will be Jones, Murdoch and Milera.
