Look I don't want to seem like someone who is turning on the club/Hird etc, but when you hear the interview and see that their children weren't taken care of by a professional football club, then someone must take responsibility. Pretend this was Carlton and not Essendon. Wouldn't you feel sorry for the mother and be angry at the club for letting this occur? In the charge sheet, the AFL stated many worrying things that indicate that the place was not safe for players. The AFL couldn't possibly have made all of it up. Take of the Essendon glasses and think health and safety. That is absolutely unacceptable. If the AFL charged them for negligence, then that is exactly right. i don't agree with certain aspects of the charge sheet, but in terms of health and safety, I completely agree. I feel sorry for the players
I think those who oversaw that kind of environment should do the right thing and step down. The club can then focus on picking itself up and operating like any other football club. Us supporters can also focus on premierships, finals etc like any other supporter
