Hi guys, can I have a bit of feedback on my team, thanx.

My first thought was that it was too strong to possibly fit inside the salary cap ... but it does. Only 13 likely keepers unless Clark stays fit, but plenty of rookies to make money and mostly only the cheaper premos left to upgrade to. Could be a masterstroke. Looks like you'll be beating Mr Gingy again :)

this is me so far.
i have $443,200 to spend on a defender but i just cant bring myself to pick Adcock, Labamba or Higgins.
if Hibberd gets cleared then im happy to downgrade Goldy to Nic Nat so i can fit him in.

Byrne > Lonie
Bring in Houli/Taylor

She beats me EVERY year FFS. I'm just not as brave as her with my selections, I'm always trying to sneak in a mid pricer or 2. :rainbow: I have to give her credit, Mrs G does G'n'R old school style & nearly always pays off because she gets her premo's right from the start.

I'm actually considering ripping off her Rd1 team next Thursday. She nearly always nails her initial squad. Can't trade for shit though LOL
If 2 of Mcintosh Hamling Saad Edwards get regular games early on you're laughing. Rd1 selections will determine whether to drop ibbotson>rookie and free up another 220k

If by any chance there are 4-5 starting Def rookies next week, my D4 & D5 will be downgraded from mid pricers to rookies no doubt. In that scenario I will start with 6 mid premo's or 4 forward premo's.

I'd say the majority of SC players would put Paige to shame though. (But nonetheless good side MrsG).
I finished 34k rank. Don't ask

<runs out of room>

Rolling with this, would be interested to hear peoples thoughts. I am really really happy with all of my rookie choices, think they are the pick of the litter! And am pretty happy with my premos too.. bit iffy about kelly and might trade him out for johnson but ill keep for now. If Ablett is out ill trade to Fyfe and maybe upgrade Wines to Gray.

Defenders: Brodie Smith, Heath Shaw, Jack Newnes, Kade Kolodjashnij, Garrick Ibbotson, Joel Hamling (Hugh Goddard, Aaron Saad)

Midfielders: Scott Pendlebury, Nat Fyfe, Patrick Dangerfield, Ryan Griffen, Jack Steven, Ben Newton, Patrick Cripps, Isaac Heeney (Aaron Vandenberg, Cam Ellis-Yolmen, Jack Steele)

Rucks: Todd Goldstein, Nic Natinui (Mason Cox)

Forwards: Robbie Gray, Dustin Martin, Dane Swan, Marcus Bontempelli, Mitch Clark, Jesse Hogan (Nathan Krakouer, Kane Lambert)

Thoughts?

Trying to be different by not starting tall forwards in Hogan and Clark.
Ibbo showed enough on the weekend to say he'll be back avg 85-90 PPG
Johnson a POD as a Prem Def
Hamling McIntosh will play early on.
Saad and Lambert elevated.
Bellchambers cover for rucks if cleared... BJ POD in forward line..

Will swap Gaz with Selwood if he isn't name.

Bring on ROUND 1!

K.Simpson is way overs in my opinion wait a few rounds before getting, will likely decrease in value.

Wouldn't have both Newton and Cripps select only 1.

Spending a lot of money on the rucks. If you are going to spend that much money on your ruck you need to pick 2 guys who you can rely on for the whole season.

The same forward line as mine, you can't go wrong.

Hope that help :)

Why not? If he can afford these two whilst maintaining a strong structure then it's more than a viable strategy to spend a bit more for a higher scoring ceiling and job security.

Backline: As mentioned in previous post K.Simpson is overs and is going to decrease in value early others are better to pick like Hodge, Taylor etc. Wasting money with B.Jacobs, wouldn't recommend picking 2 guys around the $250,000 mark.

Mids: Very solid don't change.

Ruck: ?

Forwards: Very unique forward line sort of what I did last year and it paid off. Love the pick of D.Smith I think he is in for a big season.

Overall: Solid just a couple of small tweaks is in order for your backline.

If I had to pick one I would pick Cripps. Just got a feeling Newton will turn into V.Michie like last year, I picked him round 1 and got ride of by round 3.

I agree with you with regards to Newton, there are others in that price bracket however that could serve as very decent stepping stone types.
