The McVeigh group is perhaps the safer option with 4 solid keepers. However Shaw and Lids are likely to be the best or near it and Sherro and Williams could be decent D5 D6 keepers.

I can't be bothered going into detail why I think this analysis is a load of crap, but more importantly I think my biggest issue with it is that you don't give an alternative?
You just say 'history shows the best players won't be the best player again'. Well no shit, you don't need them too be. If they score enough for you to keep them then you saved yourself trades, and not to mention the biggest hole in your dribble is that it's actually been proven that if you pick the best players at the start it gives you a better chance to win the competition.

Careful mate, the Bigfooty SJW's will be telling you to calm the **** down if you dare to give anyone a much needed reality check.

Well I'd have to go back and check them all, but here's the first one I just checked:
Going into 2014 Minson (#1 Ruck in 2013) was coming off a season where he averaged 114, so would have been around $620k.
The previous year Jacobs averaged 85, so he would have been $460k. A difference of $160k.

In 2014, Minson averaged 93, Jacobs averaged 115 (#1 Ruck in 2014).

Minson also played 21 games and was only subbed off once so I don't think injury was an issue.

My explanation:

DEF: hardest position to score and find consistently playing rookies, no brainer to spend more here for me.
MIDS: Pretty standard, If wines stays fit he'll be my M8 and I'll trade in Fyfe, JPK ect.
RUCKS: I ****ed up here, should've saved 150k and won SuperCoach.
FWDS: there's enough rookies that will score well IMO. Tossing up between Buddy/Wingard. Deledio will most likely be my first player traded in. Saints have a tough start so steering clear of Joey for now.

Only 30k, it can easily be done if I adjust some rookies but obviously I'll have to wait for the nab cup. I have a feeling buddy will go well this year as I feel the swans will too.

262k still in the bank as well and i always like to save cash and have something left for an early mistake/correction.
