That is a bullshit use of a "catch all" rule. No, that's not true.
It's classified as "bringing the game into disrepute" (section 5 of the rules). That is all-encompassing of anything that can be deemed to bring the game into disrepute - a negative experience or effect on the function of the league and in fact, this instance has actual precedence as a team was found guilty and two captains punished for bringing the game into disrepute for boycotting a match thread.
That is a bullshit use of a "catch all" rule.
There is nothing in the rules that says "you must post".
I disagreed with it 2 years ago, and I disagree with it now.
Because it's in someones opinion, and that's all it is, an opinion.
You want non participation regulated against? Go ahead. Make a rule.
And a negative experience? The Bombers would be charged every week!!
Different context here. I broke ranks because I was a Dragon in all but the team list when the Bombers boycott occurred, and posting in the match thread was my way at getting back at the then captain.Once the penalties start getting tabled I think we'll see some break ranks.
Who will be the @PhenomenalV1 of this boycott?
Yeah, they're harking back to the time when the struggling club in the Bombers used the Hawks to gain some air time.
A tribute to posting pr0n on the web?
It's Mabo....Hmmmm
So you're saying by boycotting and not posting, the bombers actually increased their airtime. Curious, that sounds like a good thing for enhancing activity in the SFA community, not something that has a profoundly negative effect on the league.
Must be one of these vibe things...

Also why do people keep tagging me 2 seasons on from my retirement?
Hmmmm

The fact that people think it's a publicity stunt speaks more about their own motivations and logic when it comes to this league then it does about the Bears.
It's a good thing I just bought a new Dyson, I'm going to need it for all the sand that's accumulating.

Anything that gets the tribunal up and moving brings more activity. It's like the saying "car crash television" people can't look away.
Do you think car crashes are good for society Ned? Do they turn you on?
The fact that people think it's a publicity stunt
Thank you for your opinion. I hope your committee member pushes forward how much you disagree with it.
Car crashes are an inevitable consequence of motor vehicles being on the road. That doesn't mean I ban anyone who drives a car however, because it may cause a crash
The committee member supports punishment. I'm ok with that, we live in a democracy. That also enables me the right to free speech and to dissent.Thank you for your opinion. I hope your committee member pushes forward how much you disagree with it.
So what have I missed here? Another struggling club in the Bears looking to use the Bombers to gain some air time so that they seem to be "moving forward".
From what I have seen in the league this year this is one of the most active match threads they have produced.
Yeah, they're harking back to the time when the struggling club in the Bombers used the Hawks to gain some air time.
Nobody has said this.
That's not relevant to the question Ned.

I thought people in the SFA were smarter than this. I'm being proven wrong.
Groupthink is alive and well.
