Heard Kieran Briggs say he went to school with Ryan Papenhuzen from Storm. Got me thinking there can't have been many schools that have had both an AFL and NRL player go there does anyone know of any others?

Heeney possibly could have. Would satsat QLD would be the most likely state for this as most NSW aussie rules player come from the South of NSW. Think the few Victorians to play NRL are from public schools and most Aussie rules players are from private schools. Not sure about the few WA NRL players. Think Joel Ready is the only SA NRL player and prob moved when he was young as believe his Dad coached the Rans when they existed.

North Rockhampton State High, which Zac Smith attended, has produced a number of NRL players.

Cameron Smith and Israel Folau both attended Marsden state high school

Barker College has Mitchell Pearce and Isaiya Katoa in the NRL and they had a kid who was picked up by the Swans but I can’t remember his name or whether he ever played a senior game.

Knox has Troy Dargan and Bailey Simonsson for the NRL, and for AFL, Braeden Campbell, current Swans player, and Luke Parks who apparently played 8 games for Carlton.

Eugene Kruger is who you’re thinking of.

Newington College produced Dane Rampe and Cam Murray amongst other lower profile NRL players.

The Southport School on the Gold Coast.

Clarke Keating AFL
Nathan Stapleton NRL

Though they are mostly known for Union, many Wallaby players.

Palm Beach Currumbin High School
NRL 55 players including Ben Ikin, Darius Boyd and Ben Hannant who have all represented Australia
AFL - Dayne Beams, Sam Gilbert and several Suns players, Jacob Dawson, Brayden Crossley and Caleb Graham

Edit - should also include Jed Walter and Will Graham who recently got drafted

Along with Kieran Briggs and Ryan Papenhuyzen, Oakhill College has produced Keiren and Brandon Jack in the AFL, and Luke Keary and Jason Baitieri in NRL (the latter only one game for NRL, but he is now playing pro league in France.)

As to Isaac Heeney, his alma mater, All Saints College, Maitland, produced none other than Andrew Johns.

Dunstall went to Brisbane "Churchies".

Karmichael Hunt for league

So Did Quade Cooper, and dozens more Union players

They also Have..

A Boomer and NBA Player in Cam Bairstow

A Socceroo in Steve Hogg

Several Test Cricketers in Ron and ken Archer

An Olympic Sailor in John Cuneo

An ATP Winner in John Millman

I didnt go there or anything, and just googled it tonight.

I mean it depends what you mean by “produced”, when you’re a private school that simply buys dozens of the best child athletes as part of your **** measuring process, then it’s to be expected that many of them will go on to be professionals.
Aquinas doesn't have a policy of 'buying' players and have had athletes who've gone to other schools with offers of scholarships. A lot of their AFL products are country kids who have come through as boarders. They had a really good sports development coach named David Gault, but he has moved on to Scotch College. For a boys school is it one of the most affordable in Perth because it still tries to operate as a Catholic school.

I missed

Taj Woewodin
Charlie Caleron
Ben Allen
Simon Black

Jake Ball was rugby, but believe he was union (went on to play for Wales) Zac Holmes now plays rugby in France

Cameron Bancroft - cricket
Terry Alderman - cricket
Justin Langer - cricket
Brad Hogg - cricket
Nathan Coulter-Nile - cricket

I think if we are counting Israel Folau as an AFL player we can include not only women but people who have worn mascot outfits in either code.
I was in a band with the bloke who played Hawker in Tasmania lol
