Bought my self a Pendlebury mug. Wasn’t cheap. But versatile... can drink coffee, tea or whiskey from it.
Does it have a basketball background

In my time of watching Collingwood, in my opinion, the absolute top of the tree elite players have been, in no particular order;
Greening
Carman
Moore Snr
Daicos
Buckley
Swan
Pendlebury.
Anyone who doesn't think Pendles belongs in that group is crazy. He has been so good, for so long, we have just become accustomed to it. He didn't touch the ball in the first quarter last week, and it was like the sky had fallen.
As far as I can see, the only three Collingwood players who have been that elite, for that long, are; G.Coventry, Buckley, Pendlebury. He sits comfortably in that group.
I am so disappointed that 80,000 of us cant be there to show our appreciation.
You’ll have to let me know when they have Ben Kinnear day!So superstar month on fox footy has started today and Pendles is first up. So if you have a day off like myself sit back and watch some of his great games
They currently have the Adelaide game in 2013 on. Swanny kicked a nice goal before. Miss him so much

Really makes you realise how long his career has been
Two of those six games you have listed he was no-where 100% too.Round 3 2010 (13 possessions)
Drawn GF 2010 (19)
Round 3 2012 (15)
Round 7 2015 (19)
QF 2018 (17)
PF 2019 (18)
Twice this year with shortened quarters he's *only* got 19 possessions.
These are the only games since Pendles' 51st game in 2008 where he has failed to get 20 possessions (and hasn't been injured or managed with low game time).
Those are the only examples in his last 260 odd games. Let that sink in.
I doubt the game has ever seen someone so consistent throughout his career.
On paper our greatest ever midfield. Buckley, Swan, PendleburyBloody good side actually!
Two of those six games you have listed he was no-where 100% too.
In the drawn GF in 2010 he played after suffering a severe stomach complaint that saw him loose 6kgs in the lead-up.
In the QF of 2018 he was suffering a back injury that soon after required surgery.
Yep, agreed. I also think given he hasn't had many injuries in his career and has never really had legspeed to begin with, he could play for another 5 or so years (given players losing their speed is usually what causes most older players to drop off). I could easily see him moving down back to play as a skillful third tall defender if and when his body doesn't hold up as well anymore.A top 5 Collingwood player of all time IMO. He hasn’t gotten the accolades in recent seasons because the game turned toward more explosive midfielders that can go forward (Fyfe, Martin, etc) but he is still top 15 in the comp. It’s sad to think he might retire with just the one flag, but he still has a few years left, so hopefully he can win another as captain.
Or as a forward, defenders can't afford to be slow.Yep, agreed. Yeah, that as well. But I think his foot skills and decision making ability, he would better suited down back. Also, despite his height, (contested) marking is not a strength of his.Or as a forward, defenders can't afford to be slow.

Yeah, not only that, but from the 2010 premiership, only him, Reid, Sidebottom and Beams remain. He could very well end up being the last man standing in that team, which is insane. The 21 other players to play when Pendles played his first game
