Filthy Sanchez - "No more ninth jokes, no more Furies bashing, we are back to being the force we are"
Tarkyn_24 - "We have the best bunch of flogs in the game at the moment. You need flogs to win Sweet FA Premierships. Ergo, we will be champions"

Meetings in Season 16
Round 1 - East Side Hawks 12.6 (78) defeated Fighting Furies 12.5 (77) @ Waverley Park
The Hawks and Furies opened Season 16 on a Friday night in muddy conditions. Thanks to a dominant second quarter the visitors held sway for much of the match. A 24 pt lead half way through the final quarter had the small pocket of Furies' fans rejoicing, but goals from Tarkyn_24, Karnezis_13, and a brace from HARPSichord - including the match winner with 18 seconds left - saw the Hawks get home by 1 solitary point.

Round 10 - Fighting Furies 18.8 (116) lost to East Side Hawks 17.19 (121) @ Punt Rd
The return bout saw a more free flowing and open encounter with 35 goals scored on a sunny Saturday arvo at Punt Rd. The match followed a similar path as their opening game of the season, with the Furies holding sway for most of the match, before the Hawks' captain Tarkyn_24, kicked the match winner with 34 seconds left.

What are we likely to see? Simply. An epic encounter. Two meetings this season both decided with a goal in the final minute of the game suggests these two teams are evenly matched. Maybe the home ground advantage could prove the difference.

The Furies have the best offence in the league while the Hawks have the worst defence out of the teams that finished in the top 6. That could spell disaster for the home side. The back six of the Hawks will have their work cut out for them. In the Hawks' favour is their dominant key forward, Tarkyn_24. 86 goals in 18 home and away matches, the clear stand out in the competition. The experienced captain will need to have his kicking boots on. The evenness of the
Furies' side, especially their midfield group, will make it hard for the Wonders to stop. Expect a big game from Mobbenfuhrer Medallist Eagleoz83, he always steps up in big games. The ruck dual between larrikin v tigland will be worth the price of admission alone.

Celebrity Tipsters:
MD - The team of inactives keep getting a free ride year in year out, and it doesn't make sense. Hawks to lose 2 on the trot and still be alive. Hardly finals logic. Furies by 22
pantskyle - Itsmyshow is a flog so captaining the Hawks to a second successive finals loss would be hilarious to see. The Furies are determined to field 5 players this week. The game writes itself. I give absolutely no shits to who wins this as neither team has tried to sign me for next season. I hope they both lose. I'm tipping a draw but as that makes no sense perhaps the Furies will win by 1 point, or the other mob will.
Juggalo Balla - Does anybody really care about this game? I mean the loser isn't even eliminated. The Hawks will most likely get a 3rd chance when they lose this. I'm not sure I see them bouncing back after being defeated by the Gumbies. There's something about a team going out in triple straight sets that really appeals to me. It will be worthy of hearty lols. The Hawks have done a tremendous job to rise off the bottom but they might not have saved anything for finals. The Furies are making a big charge and it's ruoured they might get up to 5 or even 6 match thread posters which I'm sure they'll be quick to point out is plenty of activity to be considered for keeping your club license intact. The loser will be everybody having to put up with a non-elimination final in the 2nd week. If I had to make it tip it would be the Furies by 75 points because they either suck or they get a walkover, rarely anything in between.
Marlowe - The Furies will struggle as I hear Filthy's mind may already be some place else. With their captain looking elsewhere, I tip a strong, united Hawks team to roll the Furies off the park. Hawks by 78.

Odds:
Hawks: $1.75
Furies: $1.95
Line: 5.5pts

Beginning of our end? We all get 4 chances this finals series.

Whilst that's true.. The end has to come eventually, and last week didn't happen, so the end begins this week.

So yeah.

Hello fuzzybutts! We look forward to making you despair at how much the world hates you just one more time...

The World doesn't hate us. The Tigs are 10-5 and the Furies are 1-0 in the finals and we haven't even played at home yet. How is your home finals record holding up?

With Duct Tape and suspenders, it took a crew of 4 men working through the night, but we got it up there.
