I like to consume what is in front of me. Mum used to say my food may taste like rat shit but you need to eat it so I assumed thats what it was.

My son has been in hospital since late August (not sick - it's because of behavioural issues). His favourite food is peanut butter sandwiches, but he can't have peanut butter in hospital, just in case a fellow patient has a nut allergy. Not happy Jan!!!!!

Can you bring stuff in? So long as you watch him eat and remove anything left behind?

That does seem a bit harsh. My cousin has Aspergers. When he was a child he had a set bunch of things he would eat and it was virtually impossible for him to deviate from it - it was a massive struggle for him and could make him really panicky. I can't even imagine how it would have gone if he had been in hospital and they had denied him his routine food.

Well I seem to be the only Rat left - the rest have gone off on holidays.

We visit him every day, and he has a serving of hot chips, which he also loves. And he's also allowed to have small yoghurts brought to him.

I don't want to take the focus away from qooty's day of days, but watch out for a future thread, which I'd like to call, "Tough year", where I'll enlarge on our 2019. It's quite a story!!!
