I could never get my head around whether Citroin was really Haro's brother or an alias. The podcast where he appeared was truly something else, it was like HL was talking to a dog, you didn't hear a peep from this "Citroin".

Hello Wonders. Good to see you again. Which ******* CHF am I destroying this week?
We've actually been in discussion with a potential new CHF.

Rocked up claiming he was looking for a new club...

I have decided to tell you here instead of the PM.

I'll pass, unless you're willing to pay me an extra million a season.

Delisting him and then the outrage that followed is still one of my favourite 'told ya so' moments ever. It's why I still bring it up all the time...

Remember when a few dickheads on here wanted to play the moral police and arrest us for delisting HaroLad? :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Prolly the same dills who got upset when we dropped Ant Bear for the Prelim.

Drugs are rife in professional sport, anyone who suggests otherwise is incredible naïve. It's just disappointing that they got caught, especially Stengle who was charged with a DUI back in April and owed a bit back to the club.
Yeah, I'm definitely in the "feels sorry for them" camp. Bit of a nothing action to get into hot water over. I'd get it if it was during season, but off-season doesn't sit right with me at all. Especially as it wasn't performance enhancing drugs.

Even the role model argument is flimsy, because by the time a kid is put in that situation, they've most likely moved on from having a footballer as a role model.
Pretty much. Not even professional sport, really. What do they reckon local footballers get up for their end-of-season celebrations? Sad to think that given the war on drugs that society will never be able to progress to a point where something like this happens and the response is rational and realistic.
How did you manage that gig?! The interview that is.
I volunteer at a radio station and the sponsorship manager knew I was a big fan, so hit me up as soon as their management reached out to plug the tour. From memory, they also used a part of a review I wrote on the album in their descriptions for the event (or that might have been IDLES around the same time - not 100%, so many bands I loved toured early last year), and I got the stream for that review over a month before the album came out. It's funny now to think that it's one of my all-time favourite albums.
I do. That was an eye-opening moment with the SFA , and the media side of things for the 18 game player who had only begun to dabble in getting into the media at that point. The call aged like fine wine though, outside of the whole "we may have inadvertently created the bombers powerhouse by letting Haro out of the Wonders" thing.

It does bother me a tad how much we were the prototype for that dynasty. We really left an impression on the young 'Lad.
Yeah, I feel we were never mentioned enough in that entire narrative. Hence why I incessantly bring it up to this day. Well, that, and I'm a massive narcissist, but those two points may just be linked.

It's also funny to think that it wasn't exactly a hotly discussed call given the controversy. From memory we pretty much unanimously agreed from the start.

That spud? This'll be a cakewalk
Nvm turns out he hurt himself on the way to meeting with us and won't be available for 6-8 weeks*.

*could also be a full season

We don't have that kind of money at the moment. We have to use recycled jerseys due to financial pressure from COVID and us sucking this season, as you can see from my photo above.

Some of us won't be wearing any clothes at all this weekend. It's a tough time at the moment. A tough, sexy time.

The financial pressure must have destroyed your fill tool as well.

The club can no longer afford to bankroll my Adobe subscription, and I legitimately don't remember how to use MS Paint. Things are pretty dire.

Which unfortunate donut from the Wonders is letting me kick 6 on them this week?
Hahahahahaha which Wonder is letting you kick 6?

Mate, it will be a team effort.

Given I spent most of the day with J_Chadwick, I've spent all my energy bullying a Wonders player today, and have no energy to bully the Hawks. Seems to be some underhanded tactics going on here from the Hawks to ensure Chadwick and I are in the same place at the same time every Monday. Might have to look into this a bit more.
Don't worry, I literally do nothing else
Careful Sab22, this guy is gunning for your role.

Yeah, I'm hopeful we give up on the war on drugs in the next 10 years. It's just frustrating waste of money, and this stuff should certainly not be news.

I mean, it certainly was a peak. Up there with causing beez to suffer PTSD with team-sheets. It was a very efficient discussion, we were both done with him by that point. I definitely cannot remember what he did, probably was something minor outside of just being an irritating teammate.

Sorry for leaving the Wonders books in haydo hands who has no doubt planted the seed for this financial disaster with his yearly retirement parties.

The SFA needs to take a leaf out of the NHL playbook and ban people going shirtless.

HaroLad was a *******. End of. He really turned me off this place at the end of my last stint
He was 17 at the time.

Most kids are ****wits, granted I wasn't here at the time. but he was good on the podcast

If people judged me based on the things I did as a kid things would be very different

Just make sure you save enough scoring shots so I can bank 3 goals 5, for old time sakes.

Although I'm reluctant to veer off-topic too much (kidding, I don't give a ****), I went down a bit of a rabbithole researching the war on drugs in isolation. It's such a mess, and such a cesspool of blatant corruption, overt racism, and ruining human lives and crippling important medical research, and sadly it's hard to ever see it ending, given the financial power of those responsible.

It's amusingly ironic, but also quite sad that capitalism is likely the only way that any drug will ever be legalised (because lawmakers are more likely to be convinced by savvy business grads doing the groundwork lobbying for it because they see the financial potential than they are hippies lobbying for it because of a love for the drug).

Man, poor beez. Not only did we give him weekly aneurysms, but we also inadvertently dumped Haro on him and in doing so completely destroyed his club. No wonder he was so snappy when we played the Gumbies this season.

Hey, sure we may need to reallocate some of our financial resources, but suggesting we dip into the 95% cultural events spend is a step too far. We may be a qooty club, but we still need to run important piss-ups social events for the wider community.

But how else will I show off my perfectly average body that all the girls are completely indifferent towards?

We're working in groups armed with lead pipes to kneecap the Hawks this week.

It worked last week so why change a winning formula?
To losers Tonya Harding was a disgrace.

To winners she was an inspiration.

Hey Hawks, I hear if you summon ClarkeM in match threads, he posts exactly 111 times. No more, no less. It should be fun to test that theory this week.
