My instructor was really chill and made the experience really easy. On my 3rd lesson with him he shouted me a frozen coke from maccas, great guy

I didn't get my Ls until I was 25! Have been on my full licence since June 2018 (when I was 29).

Auto but probably best to try and learn manual as well.

And they say to get your L's when you are young and here we are not following those typical rules.

Unless you have a manual car i would probably just learn on an automatic.

Yeah, I haven't owned a manual for 6+ years. Auto is pretty much standard these days.
