Google would probably know more about us than our own Government. My tracking device that doubles as a mobile phone/scam call and SMS magnet tells them where I am already.

Google can read my mind, My life's highlights are on Facebook and if they ever think I've committed a crime the police will be able to track my entirem movements through either my phone of GPS watch.
The illusion of privacy is a little laughable if you think even a little bit about it.

Don't forget that contract tracing app. In WA the police got caught out using it to track (alleged?) criminals. That's what was found out, who knows what else is done with all that data.

Of course the government pled ignorance. Mind you I've never known a government that isn't ignorant.

Yep. Things you delete on the Internet are only hidden from yourself and others. Just like how you can delete stuff in BF and all the mods (even spec ones?) can still see it.

I have the Android health app on my phone and used it regularly and then the most recent update decided to block all usage until I allowed it to "Make and receive phone calls". I swiftly rejected that and no longer use the app.

One my favourite all time places.

My fave cities are Prague and San Francisco, My fave countries are Italy and Japan.

My fave island holiday is Samoa.

If you want to go to the islands, Samoa is infinitely better than Fiji

Right now I just wish I could go an extra 2km up the mountain to my fave bush walk/ trail run.

Ah, the good old slightly confusing gachapon machines. "Used" they write on one line, "manufactured to look used" on another. The law cracked down on them a while ago. The Internet gave the potential wearer/seller the ability to sell directly, no vending machine required.
I did get freshly popped, hot buttered popcorn from a vending machine on my last trip.
I love Japan. I'm thankful that my line of work has allowed me to travel there over the years. If only my conversational Japanese was better than a 2 year old

I've been told that Japan is the closest you can get to visiting another planet (in a nice way, I've never been).

My sister visited as an exchange student some 20 years ago and came back rake thin, she couldn't eat the food. Perhaps it was because she was staying with a host family and they ate a lot of the traditional stuff?

She also visited with her husband just before COVID. Some sort of ski holiday. I don't think she planned it that well. I don't think they enjoyed it much, her husband is south east Asian and I think he got a bit of indirect racism.

Apart from their questionable marine mammal ethics I would like to visit one day.

My fave countries are Italy and Norway. Can't really say I have a favourite city. I do prefer staying in the smaller places rather than the mega-cities though.

Favourite Countries - Japan & Portugal
Cities - Porto, Tokyo, Munich, Denver & San Fran. Hobart my favourite Australian city.

Man I want a holiday. And Japan will be the next one.
