THE MIRACLE
Paddy was eating his toast one morning and dropped it on the floor. Amazingly it landed butter side up. 'That never happens' declared Paddy. 'It's a miracle!'
Paddy calls his wife Fiadh to come and see and she excitedly agrees that it's truly a miracle. The local vicar comes around and takes photos so that they can apply to the Vatican for official designation as a miracle. It's the talk of the town. If they get miracle status it will put them on the map, bring in tourists and so forth.

After a week of anxious waiting a letter arrives with the Vatican seal on it. Paddy opens the envelope with everyone watching expectantly.






The heading says in large print, 'NO MIRACLE.'






'After careful consideration we declare this incident to be no miracle, as there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate that Mr Padraig O'Rourke did not simply butter the wrong side of the toast.'

I hate to be pedantic here but vicar is a word that protestants use! Anyway the Swamprats are my favourite team after the OOB's.

But we're unbeaten at the moment and we fully intend on sending the rats scurrying back to their lair, with their little tails tucked firmly between their legs!

Despite the fact that they play in Collingwood colours i was a Juventus fan. They are by far the most successful team in Italy in terms of overall trophies won.

The biggest prize in european soccer is the Champions League though. Juventus have played in nine Champions League finals and have only won two of them!

How Collingwood is that? The Italian league was the best league in Europe in the 90's, but the English, Spanish and German leagues would be stronger now.
