Raz If you are struggling with banter, just tell Art Vandelay_ that you think Matera92 is a stud
I don’t struggle with banter , I struggle for acceptable banter

My posts are filled with of drivel apparently

I move on from that and will continue to post in reply to interesting posts

Here’s a tip for you .

Notice the time zone difference

You all post while I sleep . I interact when I wake up for everyone’s posts that I find interesting

I maybe a “rookie” to sfa but I have been online longer than a lot a lot of people on this forum

So I interssct by posting . Then coming back later and interacting again

Each to their own style

I gavrvajrady cut back total numbers . Was heading towards 1000 in my first game I played in sfa so cut back to only a few hundred .

But seems to you it doesn’t matter how many I post you call my posts drivel .

I guess suggesting that all Vietnamese eat dogs is not drivel

I will obviously have to make stereotypical racist or perhaps blonde jokes . Jokes about Ken Hinkley, or other similar subjects to not be drivel

Each to their own

Enjoy your life

What the duck are you on about mate? I have no idea what Ken Hinkley or Vietnamese food has to do with you posting too much.

Suggesting that you’re the first poster to only post during different times of the day is disrespectful to those that have come before you. There’s plenty of posters who have lived in different time zones (in some cases 12 hours behind) that have been able to make it work. Half the Bears squad live on the West Coast of Australia where it can be three hours different to me for most of summer, but we make it work.

Everyone posts when they are available to post—- it’s why I don’t play games of Werewolf as my work day regularly makes it difficult for me to get online during the day, especially consecutive days in a row. But I post when I can, and I think that’s fair for anyone in the league.

But you don’t see anyone else posting 7 times in a row unless they are trolling TubeRadio or named TJASTA

Actually I have seen a number of people post that many times in a row

I also play werewolf with no issue

In reference to Vietnamese you stated I posted drivel . So I gave examples of others posts that you didn’t complain are drivel

If the issue is how many I post , simply scroll past them

A full thread is a good thread

Go the qooty. It all about interactions not post limits

MAFS is mindless background viewing but it will never be at the level of wholesome shows like Better Homes & Gardens on a Friday night in the offseason

I still miss Muddiemoose and the Batchelor (t intended) days

Jake Batchelor was one of Richmond’s most underrated players of the 2010’s

Since when do rookies dictate what a good thread looks like mate? You’ve played how many games (I can’t use match threads to count because you’re already retired twice)?

A good quality match thread is one that is enjoyable to read. When you’re consistently spamming up the thread taking it off-topic and adding nothing of value, it doesn’t make it a “good thread”.

If “good threads” were dictated by the amount of posts someone made in a week then Pickitt , DemurePrincess , Robertio & BLUEALLTHRU would be considered the four greatest players in SFA History (HINT: the above isn’t true, only by your assessment of “quality”)

In the UK peanuts aren’t legal tender so I have to travel in other ways
Public transport should be free for this very reason

Oh it’s free in Melbourne …

… in the City Loop where it’s really useful for everyone.

The biggest issue is I have Asperger’s syndrome

We rarely make friends as we don’t understand social interaction . We just do our best to live in this world

I interact I don’t do jokes very well and usually miss when people are being sarcastic so I ask questions

Sadly it is hard to break into cliques on the internet unless you have the “gift of the gab” and being on the spectrum means I struggle with that

I only here to chat not abuse people .to interact I need to post and I quote individuals so they get notified I talking to them

When muktiquoting the direct message seems to get lost

If people don’t want me interacting I can just say hi when thread opens and then bye after the game

Not what I want . But seems to please more people
As a fellow Autistic, I say hello.

My girlfriend described conversation to be as so

Neurotypical people play table tennis. People go back and forth in conversation. There is occasionally down time when someone goes to collect the ball from the other side of the garage. It’s all good.

Neurodivergent people in contrast are playing soccer as the goalie. They want to hold the ball for as long as possible (info dump) but struggle with returning the ball to play.

I’m rambling now, but it made a lot of sense to me.

I'm not sure we get a lot of squirrels though

And there we go

The accusation of retiring twice

Not sure who started that lie but many believe it

I left once to prevent being disruptive to threads at a time when I was in grief over the anniversary of my sons death and didn’t want to be around for issues

I was asked to return by many , not just by team members .

So I returned , I was encouraged to post

I spoke to the admins and mods and other captains

Their comments were active threads are better than quiet ones

So I post and post to interact which is a reason match threads start on Tuesday not on game day

But glad to continue hearing your lies about ne . If you spent more time getting to know people instead of spreading untruths you would realise the reality

So go both teams , may the sim be with you !

Not always that way

Being on the spectrum many don’t even get invited into the field to play and have no idea how to cross the white line . And only hold the ball as you say once the topic is one they know a lot about

If the convo is not a known topic the just sit silently by it try asking questions to learn more , usually then made fun of as it is a topic that every one else know ,

One day I dream of a world where Melbourne isn’t so anti-squirrel

Where a regular chipmunk can just go to Crown casino, place a bet and not be stared at

Seriously—— you’re a rookie & you’re trying to tell me how the league works mate.

There is a difference between “active” and straight up spam. At an average of more than 1.5 posts an hour over the past day—- you’re in spam mode mate. Log out for a while & let your team mates shine for a few hours.

If only you had someone mentoring you & encouraging you when to take a break. If you’re going to keep bringing up personal RL drama in every discussion, maybe this place isn’t the best place for you.

Did you mean to post a picture with a squirrel in it?

excellent GIF
