Adelaide v Fremantle
Saturday 8 October
2:40pm
Wigan Oval (Unley Oval)

Our run through probably softest part of the season continued with a thumping win in Showdown I, while Fremantle's season of struggle continued against Melbourne.

At the start of the season, this looked like a ripper of match. Now it's the potential for another big win in line with the previous couple of weeks if the girls remain switched on.

Fun fact 1: The girls have currently kicked 23 unanswered goals, which equals Geelong's men's side as the longest unanswered goal streak. Kick the first goal on Saturday and the record is ours.

Fun fact 2: We have gone 9 quarters without conceding a goal, with our last goal conceded being early in the 3rd quarter of our round 4 game against Collingwood.

This week will also be the club's home Pride Game (after the AFL once again shafted the club and didn't give us a home match in Pride Round). Rainbow Crows will be near the main entrance selling merchandise and Rainbow Crows memberships, with a limited number of free flags available. There will also be a pre-game pride march around the oval. I believe there will be a couple of Drag Queens doing the rounds as well.

It's going to be a very colourful day.

If you’re coming to the game today, drop by the Rainbow Crows stand at the norther end of the ground. There will be a limited number of free flags being given out, plus merchandise and memberships available for purchase.

We’re also running our annual Give Out Day fundraising drive, which you can contribute to today - and you’ll receive a free membership for any donation of $50 or above.

Not a surprise Whiteley goes back into that forward line and it barely functions again.

Coming up against a competent midfield for the first time in a few weeks has had an effect but Clarke’s changes this week have already unsettled the side.
