Win and I think we'll make the big dance. Lose and I don't think we will.

Huge game.
Yeah, I feel the same way.

I just hope, if we do lose on Saturday night, that we don't follow the same path as other top four teams since 2014 and go out in straight sets:

Lions by 20. Last week was to understand the nature of the beast, this week is to kill it. We must remember we're still getting a very young team, and the boys need experience of a particular opposition to know how to beat them (unless they're garbage).

Nick Riewoldt- It seemed impossible to stop him last time we played the tigers. Luckily, 11 year olds around the country have formulated a plan to stop him and we shouldn't have any issues against him anymore.
Come out of retirement, has he? Good thing he's 65 and can't run any more.

Agree, said this not long after round 23 finished.

We lose this Saturday night I can seriously see us going out in straight sets, we'd play a red hot Bulldogs or a building Giants if we lose. If we did happen to win that we'd then have to go the the MCG for a Preliminary Final against the Magpies or Cats.. BIG ASK!

Win this weekend, we then get to rest up again for a Preliminary Final at the Gabba against either the Eagles (Bombers no chance IMO) or the loser of Magpies/Cats.

I also don't think 2 byes in 3 weeks would bother us at all, in fact I think it would be an advantage for the plethora of young guys in our side. We also have Fagan and Hodge who have been through this sort of scenario multiple times at the Hawks and would use that knowledge well.

I've got a feeling Eric or Dan will kick a bag; haven't decided on which one just yet, but they are most certainly due.

If Harris curbs Lynch's influence like last time and Darcy goes straight to Riewoldt, we will win. Adams to drop back in the hole and play the intercepting role imo.

I have confidence that Marcus Adams could do the job on Jack Reiwoldt this time, it was all about the lace out delivery Reiwoldt was getting in the 1st quarter, nothing to do with Marcus's so called dumb play (as Matty Lloyd called it). No defender in the league could have defended that, it was about a lack of pressure up the ground coming out of contested situations.

Although I also have confidence that Darcy Gardiner could do the job if the coaches decide to start that way, we are flexible with match ups in the back half now.

Imo it's not as simple as lace out delivery. Body on body work is just as important as competing on the lead and think that's where Adams didn't deliver v Jack. Darcy is a master of the pre-lead body work and reckon Adams will be much better after the lesson he received so am not worried either way.

This is me.. win and I reckon we will make the GF.

Lose and I fear it's straight sets. Just my take.

I can't see us losing week 2 tbh. We've taken the Dogs best punch and won comfortably with our captain on the bench and we beat GWS with Cogs and Kelly away and think we'd edge them at home.

Is it just me? Watching Fagan, during Zorko’s answers, it looks like Fagan is answering the questions in his head and seems happy with Dayne’s answers?
If not, then just listening very intently?
I wonder if the questions and answers were pre-determined before the interview?
Or am I just reading into it a little too much?

Fages seemed a bit more wound up than I have seen him before.

Been a pleasure watching you lot rise up this year, throughly deserved. Hoping for a good game, the Gabba will be rocking. I think the winner will win the Grand Final, one finals victory for your boys and they will be off and running, full of confidence, in September. Don't think any side can stop the Lions when they're up.

I have a hunch Cam Rayner will have a bit of a say on Saturday night

Best of luck, but obviously not too much.

It was a thing of beauty seeing Rayner nail a 'dont argue' on the weekend. Reckon he and dusty lining up on each other would be a thing to behold.

BRISBANE v RICHMOND
Charlie Cameron is one of the AFL's most exciting players, arguably the best small forward in the game and freshly minted as a maiden All Australian. That said, the versatile Dylan Grimes thrashed him in both their meetings to date.

The usually elusive Lion had a meagre three possessions without a goal in 41 minutes against the Tiger in round four, 2018, while Grimes kept him to five touches and one major on 60 minutes a fortnight ago. In totality, Cameron went goalless in the first of those matches and kicked two goals in the latter.

Both were Richmond victories. Brisbane's record when the former Crow kicks three majors or more in 2019 is 8-1 compared to 8-5 when he slots two or fewer.
